The Steelers benched Chuks, so somebody had to play RT and Jones got some playing experience.

They bench Chuks for no reason...He was right to be frustrated in our sorry offense

You don't know what you're talking about as much as you're on twitter you should know why Chuks was benched . And what has Chuks done since he left scrub got cut by New England.

That was no reason to hurt Jones' development

Playing Jones at RT didn't hurt his development, at the time he wasn't better at LT than Moore.

Two separate actions. Two separate evaluations.

Salvaging a 2027 third rounder from a failed first round pick is nothing to scoff at.

Dissecting what went wrong with the pick from scouting to selection to development is a separate matter.

It did not help his development and Jones had a very good game against the ravens in 2023(the ravens had 60 sacks in 2023 btw) as LT when Moore was out with a injury but for some stupid reason,he put Moore in the next game back in the starting lineup even if he was ranked as one of the worst LT in the league....In the last few years,Tomlin did not want to be great and stay with the mediocrity

Many were saying the same thing when the steelers make a similar trade with Kevin Dotson to the rams and at the end,it was a massive win for the rams

I think the difference is that Dotson had already shown what he could do when he took over for DeCastro and played left guard. Dotson had shown that he was a mauler and could physically bully people and probably needed to be in a different role.

Jones is a guy that has never really shown that he is capable of that to this point. When you combine that with his unfortunate injury, I think he definitely more of a risk and an unknown than Dotson ever was.

Not in my eyes, he drafted him, he was a disaster of a 1st rounder, he got rid of a 3 year waste of time for a small return and let's remember it's not a 3rd, it's tunring a 4th into a 3rd - it's still a massive capital loss.

    Grade - D.

As a comparison I would grade Kenny Pickett as an F.

Remember when some on here said I didn't want Jones just because he played for Georgia. LoL

Nobody can account for a guy having neck surgery. Sure, he underperformed for his draft position, but the man got injured and required spinal fusion surgery. Khan, Tomlin, and whoever was involved in the draft process couldn't foresee a major injury.

I think it's a good move to cut bait and move on while still being able to get something for him.

If you get drunk and take a crap on your Mee-Maw's heirloom rug and pass out BUT you wake up early and are able to clean the rug back to pristine condition...then you get a fail for deucing on the rug but a passing grade for cleaning it up.

Two separate actions. Two separate evaluations.

Najee Harris never posted an official 40 at the Combine or Alabama’s pro day. He played behind one of the best offensive lines in college football, which padded the production. I thought he was overrated coming out and that Pittsburgh could have found better running-back value later. 3.9 yards per carry over 1,100-plus attempts is a poor return on a first-round pick.

Like many of our past 1st round picks, he is still in the NFL but off the Steelers and on his second or third team.

Not in my book. Grade D.

Also, as for despoiling rugs, I'm against it on principle as they often tie the room together.

He sucked well before the neck injury though, which was after the fact in terms of his long term evaluation.

He was not very good before the injury. He was in the last year of his contract and no way he was worth signing for a ton of money. It was time for him to move on
