I’m just saying I see a big gap between true contention and just winning a playoff game.

I don’t care about building a roster and coaching a team that’s mediocre enough to eke out a WC weekend win.

I’m interested in building a roster and coaching staff that opens up a multi-year window to compete on Championship or SB weekend.

The Steelers lost their way on this between about 2020-2024. I’m encouraged by the last 2-3 drafts that they’ve returned to building the best long term roster possible.

 

Agreed! But ....... baby steps, we were not going to get there with Tomlin, now, let's just see what materializes from here.

I tell my friends who are Browns fans that they will not be relevant until 2 years minimum after the Haslems are gone, We may have to wait that long too.
