Madden 25

    So who picked up Madden 25 today?

    I got it this afternoon. Fired it up and went through some of the menus. Started a Play Now game with my son and it locked up just a few minutes into it. Hope thats not a sign of whats to come.

    Plan on spending some time with it tonight.

    Thoughts? Reactions? Comments?

    I returned it last year in only 12 hours. I couldn't stand tripping over every blade of grass.

    I already have my PS4 paid for. I probably won't buy any new games until then. And Madden isn't usually a wise buy the first year of a new console cycle.

    How does it play this year?

    Mine arrived today. I haven't played Madden in a long time, and really only got this one for the free Sunday Ticket deal. I saw there was a Best Buy trade in deal, so I might have to play this real quick to see how I like it. :twisted:

    I think if you liked 13 there enough new things, changes, upgrades to make this worthwhile and you will dig it.
    If you didn't like 13 there may not be enough to bring you over to the like it side.

    I have been trying to learn all the controls so I can hot route, change defense pure snap, control tackling and ball hawking, control the runner well and total control passing.
    Its a lot to recall quickly and use correctly. There is still some weirdness in where the guys go when you think you are doing one thing and something else happens. CPU secondary seems to always cover your receivers while all the completions they make on you are from their receiver being wide open with your D covering no one and just hanging out.
    I liked 13 though and I generally enjoy this one.

    So you're playing with the Steelers and it's realistic? (Did I just go there? ;))

    As with every Madden, to get a more realistic game, you usually have to tweak the sliders. I'm sure that's all that's going on there.

    Do your runners still run like they're drunk and trip over every single thing?

    I think the running is a little better and you now have a control to try to recover from being off balance or dive for extra yards. Going to try to work on that next time I play.
