Other than Mason Rudolph with his 9-10-1 career record who else will be a seasoned QB on the roster next year? Will Howard and Drew Allar probably won't play at all this year. Next year Howard will be entering his 3rd year in the league without every taking a snap in a game and Allar his second year. This certainly doesn't sound like a seasoned QB room to me. This season should have been the year to find out about Howard and Allar but we brought back Rodgers to delay another year about finding out who are next starting QB will be.

seasoned a lot more than a draft pick will be. howard will have still been through two and then three years with nfl coaching. allar with two. that is a huge difference.

    LoL.
My friend, one your record is wrong, and also You act like a HC just doesn't care if they win , or lose, and it somehow doesn't matter.
You honestly think a HC that is on his 3rd team, and has been fired from his last two, that just now comes back home to HC his home town team wants to take a chance with two basically rookie Qbs on wining games his 1st season back as a HC???

I'm worried NFL Network is going to cut away in the third quarter to show the start of another game :frustrated:

That second game was blacked out in my area, this week the second game is scheduled to start two hours after the Steelers game and I don't want to miss Allar play.

I don't think they will. neither game was blacked out in my area, and they didn't cut to it till the Steelers game was over except for a peek in here , and there. I think we'll be good

Really like how they’ve handled the preseason and getting looks on everyone. We’ll get a solid look at the Hwrd kid tonight and Kaleb. They sit ones we already know about, rooks n key position battles are on display.

Imagine cutting Howard and he goes onto be a good starting QB and you missed out on him for Mason Freaking Rudolph. I imagine that wouldn’t help his coaching career either.

As long as we are doing what ifs.

Should be a fun game. Get a look at the depth battling it out, and also see if the rookie QB making noise in NY (close friend of mine is a Jets fan who won't shut up about him) is going to vacate bowels in the bed.

Yes I agree that Howard and Allar will be more seasoned than a rookie out of college but my fear is since none of them have had success as an NFL starting QB that the Steelers kick the can down the road next year also and sign a one year veteran like Kyler Murray or someone.

I am excited to see this game - much more so than a normal pre-season game....maybe I just miss Football.

Mason is 9-9-1 in the regular season and 0-1 in the playoffs. Anyway I get what you're saying about trying to get the best record we can every year and Rodgers does that but he is gone next year and we still don't know what we have at QB in 2027. I realize I am looking at this as a fan not a coach trying to keep his job but I'm afraid that next year because Howard and Allar still probably haven't taken an NFL snap that we will sign another one year stop gap like Kyler Murray, Carson Wentz or someone like that instead of handing the reins to Allar or Howard.
