It seems to me that the longer the Steelers wait, a new CB resets the market...... right now, the front office is it's own worst enemy

We both could be totally wrong, but I totally agree with this.

samuel, everette, jamison, porter, kent by next year, ramsey, echols, dean. Samuel has been playing very well. They are pretty well loaded right now. For less money than top five. I don't think he is top five.

How about James Harrison III who graduated from North Allegheny last year and was a RB and LB? No?

Porter Jr isnt going anywhere. The end.

Side note: The greatest mistake in Steelers History wasnt missing out on Dan Marino. The greatest mistake was then Steelers Head Coach Walt Kiesling not giving Johnny Unitas a chance to compete at all. Unitas was cut by the Steelers before ever having receieved a single snap.

They made up for it by not long after that cutting Ed O’Neill who then went into acting, becoming the Great Al Bundy of the tv show Married With Children . All is forgiven.

I think players also know they benefit from waiting.

Especially guys like Porter and Watt who have close family that have been through the business of the NFL. And Porter comes from money, so it's probably easier for him psychologically to turn down below market contracts that are still life changing amounts of money.

My guess is that players who are among the best in the league at their positions and have close family who played in the league at a high level don't take the super team friendly deals we just saw a guy like Benton sign.

    Hmmm....

On one hand, a legendary piece of media. On the other?! A legendary QB.
