We do have a sad face emoji. I used it quite often... because Steelers under Tomlin made me sad.

Fact: Mike Tomlin was an incredible regular season coach, never having a losing record.

Fact: Mike Tomlin brought Steelers fans 2 Super Bowl appearances with 1 win.

Fact: Mike Tomlin got the absolute most out of subpar QB play at times.

Fact: Mike Tomlin, his staff and this organization have been unable to get the team back to the Super Bowl since 2010.

Fact: Mike Tomlin and Art II both played a part in the Matt Canada debacle.

Fact: Mike Tomlin, his staff and this entire organization have been unable to find and develop Ben's replacement.

Those are facts, not feelings. I'm not interested in discussing who gets the lion's share of blame for any one of these things, that has been discussed ad nauseam. Clearly there are those members on here who like to blame Tomlin for everything. That's ridiculous. However, there are also those of you who seem to find no fault at all with the man which is equally ludicrous.
I feel Tomlin was an incredible regular season coach but for whatever reason, couldn't take the team to the next level in the playoffs late in his career. I'm thankful he was the coach for the Steelers but also excited for a new regime. New doesn't necessarily mean better and I'm prepared for that but I'm not going crazy over all things McCarthy until he shows us a helluva lot more.

I think emojii may not have been the correct word. I meant the reaction icon (e.g. like / dislike / agree / disagree / hilarious / winner / etc...)

When I see comments like that I often think to hit the dislike button...because I dislike that all politicians are filthy liars. But it's not the comment I dislike, it's the fact that it's true that I dislike.

maybe they wouldve been better able to hide their deficiencies. Those guys were all game managers, more or less.

I think all of these guys except Mitch were 0.500 or better with the Steelers.

Hard to imagine them doing better elsewhere IMO.

Hiding the deficiencies of bad QBs is exactly what that system was designed to do.

Sean Payton is often heralded as a very good coach. Wilson went 11-19 with him. And 6-5 with us. [ETA: 43 pointed out below that I messed up here. Payton was only his coach in the 2nd year with Denver. So he was 7-8 with Payton. And 4-11 with the mix of coaches they had the year before...]

Fields was 10-28 in CHI and 2-7 in NYJ. 4-2 with us.

Duck probably shouldn't have been in the NFL and was 3-3 with us.

Kenny gets routinely outplayed by QB 3s. 14-10 with the Steelers (but he is 2-1 away from the Steelers...so basically the same).

Again, Mitch is the outlier here. He was 29-21 in CHI before losing his starting job and going to be a backup who never started in Buffalo. Then he was 2-5 with us. And hasn't had a start since. Basically couldn't win with us because he was an INT machine even our our straight jacket of a system.

Sean Payton was not the head coach of the broncos in 2022(It was Hackett),so in 2023,Wilson was 7-8 under Payton and it was with a defense who was bottom 6 in yards and PPG

Thanks for catching my mistake 43!

Still below 500, but not as bad as lumping the two years together.

    I'll edit the previous post.

From what i read, i didnt follow Bears games, the o line pass blocking proficiency went down and Mitch basically couldnt handle the added pressure. He never recovered that initial confidence he had in chicago.

As far as the steelers it was short one read passes or safer passes to the sidelines and reliance on the defense particularly TJ’s game wrecking ability. It was an offense never meant to or able to carry the team. Score just enough and let the defense do the rest. We squeaked by doing this and having some luck with key injuries to division rivals. When TJ went down our winning percentage went down pretty sharply i believe. We were hammered in the opening rounds of the playoffs when we got there.

TJ is now past his prime and i think our owners and gm recognize we need a more proficient offense.

when i say better able to mask a Qb’s deficiencies maybe have more creative play calling, less predictable, like the misdirection play near the goal line by loading up one side and make a safe pass in the other direction, or more quick slant routes. Those are routine timing plays most Qbs can make with practice. Old Flacco killed us with those passes last year. Hiring Canada certainly didnt help.

You do this even more , you just read what I write, and not what has come before, and therefore don't know what is going on. Now slowly go back, and read everything. Thank You

What this doesn't show is that many of these Qb suck at throwing outside the numbers.
Look where Ravens are, that has been Lamar Jackson weakness , and then look at who the Qbs who are on the other teams. Now look at where the Qbs that can throw outside the numbers well are, like Allen, and Mahomes. Hmm they throw to the middle of the field less than us.

Ok I went back and re-read it and you still made an argument no one made. We know prime Ben attacked the MOF. No one said he didn’t. Stop making arguments no one made and calling us stupid for it. Thank you.

Go back, and read slowly, and look at the charts after Ben left. Surely I don't have to break it all down for you slowly.

Maybe in your head you think it makes sense but very little of what you write on here does, your thoughts are very discombobulated. But what you wrote is an argument no one made, maybe you should read your own post slowly until you can figure out how to present it in a sensible fashion.

In reality,it should be "tell lies win elections"

Most American people cant be told the truth, it will create mass panic and/or mass law suits.

how many earths can fit in the sun

About 1.3 million Earths can fit inside the sun if you compare their total volume. If you instead pack solid, unbroken spherical Earths inside leaving empty gaps between them, the number drops to about 930,000 to 960,000. You can read more about our star on the NASA Sun Factspage
    Just a fun fact
Absolutely unreal that many Earth’s fit into sun
    Seen this watching the new

Your facts are mostly all opinions.

Tomlin succeeded with Cowhers Team until he could methodically destroy the achievement mentality.

Tomlin's handling of Ben was atrocious!

Tomlin created an entirely subpar staff.

Tomlin having Canada on his staff was laughable!

    Sorry!

Your first sentence is simply not true. A player's strengths in college do give some indication of what they can do in the NFL.

I'm telling you that Tomlin's offenses since 2019 are not what they were when Roethlisberger was in his prime. Come on. You know that, and it was utter crap for you to suggest I don't know the difference.

Nobody is saying they didn't throw over the middle at all, but they didn't do it nearly enough. Pickett had some of his best moments attacking the middle, but they refused to stick with it when he was the quarterback. Tomlin refused to trust him. Then they went with Wilson, who was never big on going over the middle.

My mouth breathing brother in law asked why a 4 inch circle was less than 1/2 as much volume as an 8 inch circle. I drew a circle and drew two circles half the size inside it and showed him all the excess space. He believed I was tricking him.

He also didn't believe me when I told him that a star that is five light years away may have burned out 4 years ago but we could still see it even though it wasn't producing light. He said "I can see it, I'm pretty sure it's still producing light"

You got to love brother-in-law who are dumber than a sack of hammers.
