One interesting note with LA is they started that TE trend we saw last season. Their TE room allowed them to run a ton of 13 sets, and then after they took Simpson they drafted that Purdue TE.

Looking at their depth chart they only have a couple good receivers (Nacua & Adams). So if they lose one I'd guess they just run more TE sets, which they did well with last season.

Though it is possible DCs change that result this year, after having all offseason to adjust to it. We'll see.

That's the point he won't be starting for another two years that's why you should draft somebody to help you win now.

I watched the Simpson highlights and its similar to Allar. A lot of dinks and dunks and then a few nice passes that actually traveled more than 10 yards.

Beck still had the most impressive outing this year but its one of the better first weeks for rookie QB’s.

But this is also why I say guys like Howard and Allar need as much thrown at them as possible in the preseason. Once the season starts we won’t see them again unless if Mason is cut and AR has a serious injury. Now is the time to put them in as many situations as possible to see how they respond under pressure.

How will Howard and Allar respond when they face blitzes and OL breakdowns like Mason faced against better comp?

    Or...

You build for the future while you can compete for the present. Don't forget that Puka Nucua is still there. Yes, DeVante is not getting any younger. However, given how much Sean McVay both increased his TE usage in 2025 and shall do so again this season given what has been seen in the Preseason tells me that he is preparing for life after Stafford. More over, he is pivoting towards more usage to Tight Ends.

Ty Simpson isn't starting this year. He is going to sit; barring something extreme. If anything, this is an excellent usage of a Top 15 Pick; protecting your future by having a contingency plan.

The rams offense had been great in the last 2 games vs Seattle last season...It was their defense the problem and they add Garrett and the former CB of the chiefs to improve the defense

Except there is no way to quantify that correlation as there is for Stafford being injured.

Still Davante isn't getting any younger and Puka is injured.
