Preseason week 1 gamethread :Packers vs steelers

Yep...just like Mason looked like a vet in the preseason. Howard looked like a rookie (or at least a guy with no NFL game experience).

The pass he completed to Smith was really nice though. That's a good sign

 

JMO ,but no matter the scheme, or coach, that should be everyone's plan

 

New starters at 4/5 positions on the OL.

I am still completely clueless why Kaleb Johnson is not playing.

 

Black isn't getting enough leverage thus far. He needs to get lower.

 

Damn guys, one thing I wanna see is Wetjen with some room but the defense ain't helping out.

You'd like to see a 1st round pick in their 4th year doing well against backups in the preseason.

Only one drive though.

 

A couple of nice plays by Boykin on defense.

 

People get enamored with running qb’s. However they don’t stay in the pocket to let play develop. They cannot be consistently accurate by running and throwing as the degree of difficulty increases exponentially to be accurate. Very few running qb’s optimize staying in pocket and running at the right time.

Hard to make the team when you can't even get on the field with the second teamers. Maybe they have their minds made up from camp.
