Exactly what I thought. If You actually attacks what I said instead of changing what I said the only leg you have is to make up something I never said.
You know what a smart man does then, he either agrees with the truth, or he walks away, he doesn't change what was said to fit what he wants

You assert your own reality (which is total fantasy). You're not the only one. But you are guilty.

I bet you do. You are two peas in a pod.
Neither can answer, or stick to what was said, you both must change it. Sad because You both know deep down what I said is absolutely true. LoL.

    Really. LoL
So which is real, and which is false.
McCarthy did draft, and develop a good Qb, or McCarthy didn't draft, and develop a good Qb??
    LoL
Who is living in a false reality, Really??
    LoL.
I find it so fascinating that some people can't just say.....Hmm ....You are correct, but must change what was said to fit what they want.
I never once said McVay, or McCarthy didn't develop a Qb.
I said McVay, and McCarthy never drafted, and developed a good Qb yet.
I know its hard to stick to what is actually said sometimes for some people

Well I said Tomlin was a great coach against divisional opponents. That right there goes a long way towards averaging 10.5 wins and getting into the playoffs. The issue was and always has been Tomlins record against good teams and in particular playoff opponents. That’s the part that matters. You also can’t deny his track record with coaching hires and lack of development of those coaches. Tomlin was an intelligent guy. That was never questioned so why did he consistently hire inferior coaching talent? It had to be about ego, what else would it be about? Putting that aside you didn’t even mention the fact that he was not great at developing QB’s. You can’t deny that part and you also can’t deny the fact it’s the most important position in football so why would we not focus on getting a HC in here or a HC willing to hire the right OC to develop QB’s? I didn’t say Tomlin was a bad coach. I said he was an above average coach which I think his record backed that up over his tenure here. I believe we should have one or two more SB’s with the talent we had in the 200’s and the Killer B era. At any rate it was time for a change. I hated the way he coached the defense in particular over the last few years.

Tomlin was a 10 win coach. Had he actually hired good coordinators and in particular let them coach on defense and have a franchise QB he was Super Bowl caliber. His issue was ego got in the way of him hiring coaches that could potentially be a threat to his authority, power and control. He was more humble in his younger days and allowed coaches like Lebeau to cook. Once Lebeau left it was obvious Tomlin took over the defense. It was a slow decline after that. Multiple people said as much including James zharrison, Keith Butler, etc. Minkah was obviously frustrated with the coaching in his last year here. The desperate and bad signings like Peterson, Slay even Ogunjobi all reaked of Tomlin. I don’t even directly fault Tomlin for the QB situation, I think Rooney refuses to rebuild and developing a QB isn’t Tomlins Bailey wick. But it was his poor judgment when hiring good talent at the coordinator position that hurt him.

I am curious 0f your opinion. Are you not happy Tomlin stepped down? Do you not see any flaws in Tomlins coaching? Were you not hoping for change? Are you not happy with the McArthy hire?

like I said I defended Tomlin for the longest time. There were things I liked about him but it was his ego and unwillingness to change that drive me nuts. Year after year of seemingly the same mistakes with promises of change and it never happening was brutal. McArthy may prove to be worse but at this point so what at least we made a change and if we’re worse then at that point Rooney is forced to actually rebuild. These last few years under Tomlin it was like a wound that just wouldn’t heal. Something different had to be done. I got sick of living by the turnover. How about a good forcing three downs and out on defense instead of giving up long sustained drives and either hopefully forcing a turnover or limiting them to a field goal. It just got so old watching that kind of football.

The rest of the league had to be laughing at the Steelers with the coaching hires of the last 10 years. The highest paid defense in the league and we couldn't stop anyone. Our pass D numbers looked okay because nobody had to pass on us to win, due to our piss-poor offensive schemes, But when the other team needed to move the ball, it was like clockwork.

It was just such a frustrating franchise to watch over the last 7 years. Every game was like dejavu. We couldn’t stop the run and we couldn’t run the ball. We would play so conservative on offense to minimize not turning over the ball to the extent we avoided the middle of the field. We became so predictable on offense passing to the edges of the field. On defense the whole sceheme was about getting the best talent and if we didn’t have it we always blamed it on the players. How about scheming it up to help the players a little. Tomlin was so darned enamored with gap penetrating defensive lineman he sold out to it. Screw the inside linebackers and the back end of the defense. Our whole premise was putting pressure on the qb and creating turnovers. When that didn’t work which it often didn’t against good teams we got pummeled. Then teams figured out how to neutralize our pass rush and especially Watt and we seemingly had no solution. Just got so sick of teams consistently driving it down the field on us year after year and our only hope always was a turnover. That’s just not a sustainable way to play. And it always proved out over the course of a season.

Think back to the days of #86 or #82 running 8 yard crossing routes that went for TD's. Tomlin said he stopped those plays because he feared turnovers. I seem to remember 10 TD's for every turn over. And when you remove a fundamental staple of an offense, it allows the D to tee off on what's left.

Averaged 10 wins with no QB in their prime, like you expect 11-12 wins every year with those scrubs .

Don't blame the QBs when he decided to hire Matt Canada for almost 3 years as OC
