By your last argument BMac was a better corner than Woodson. Heck every corner with a ring was better.

They changed rules because of Ward. Is he better that Jerry Rice?

Be real. We have 4 SB wins in the 70s and zero wins in the 90s if they swapped teams.

My vote is for Blount. Does not mean the gap is so great that some folks vote Woodson in a tossup means 1st ballot HOFer Blount is among the most underrated Steelers.

Lots of folks thing Leflop James is better than Michael Jordan. But to call Jordan "underrated" is ludicrous

 

I would not say Blount was underrated anywhere other than by those who are not familiar with Steelers history. He is a Top 10 Steeler of all time, he has an eponymous rule and he is part owner of the team because he was so great. I got to see him destroy the Cowboys in Super Bowls. He is a legend.

 

Nevermind celebrations. If pick 6 returns were the only criteria, Gay would be would be above Blount.
Fun fact Gay had more pick 6s in the 2014 season than Blount had in his career.

 

Again while my pick is Blount, Woodson scored WAY MORE actual pick 6 touchdowns than Blount did during his shorter Steeler career.

And for his career? Woodson has the NFL RECORD.
Blount with his TWO career pick sixes? Tied for like 140 among cornerbacks.
Does not make Woodson the better player but does show there is a legitimate argument to be made when Woodson owns the all time NFL record therefore THE GOAT at perhaps the single most impactful play in a game as it both prevents a potential score and creates one.

That is why Bens throw and Santonios catch is NOT the greatest play in that SB. The offense loses as they actually only scored 20 without being spotted Harrisons pick six. And the Cards looked like they were going in, and at least make a field goal on that possession. They really could have blown us out we're it not for that pick 6.

Not only was that the biggest play in THAT game, I would suggest because it was a possible 14 and almost assuredly a 10 point swing, it was the biggest single play in SB history.
