People are just having fun with Pickett, it’s not his fault he was drafted where he was but the jokes write themselves.

With Tomlin he was the HC for 19 years, hasnt even been gone a season, it’s perfectly natural that he is going to be spoken about still.

They no longer coach or play for Steelers, So imo they can do whatever they want
and I won't give a **** . Steelers are onto bigger and better things.

They are part of the Steelers. Would you want people to move on from all the HOF'ers who played? Or from Noll or Cowher?

I think it's just human nature to talk about things that affect the team you love.

Of course they can do what they want but what does it matter that people talk about them.

It’s weird to me that after 19 years we are expected to never whisper Tomlins name again as if he were beetlejuice.

I like to discuss topics referring to Noll and Cowher. So I'm not gonna quit discussing Tomlin topics because he's not coaching anymore.

I'm sure Tomlin will Coach again, I don't think his ego would allow him to sit idle.

He would be a great coach for a perennial loser because he can probably achieve average results regardless of talent.;)

McCarthy is bigger but I don’t know about better. Seems to me a lateral move. 9-8 woop woop.

I agree with this. With that said, I really do hope McCarthy proves me wrong. I will gladly eat crow.

I wanted Seahawks' OC for Steelers head coach, who is now HC for Raiders.

I honestly don't know how to compare the Mikes but at this point it can't be as bad as another year of guaranteed one and done. There isn't even any fun in making the playoffs when you know you can't win.

I think the emphasis on offense is a step in the right direction. Acquiring McCarthy whose background is in offense was a good choice... but not great choice, IMO. McCarthy is only slightly better than Tomlin with playoff success over the past 10 years.

The biggest improvement for me is that MM is willing to hire real coaches where MT wasn't. MM can present a solid game plan where MT couldn't. There was no discipline in the Steelers organization under MT and Rooney sure as hell wasn't going to help, time will tell about MM. I don't know what was wrong in GB the last several years but nobody is likely to succeed with the Cowboys.

That is true. If Tomlin took over a moribund franchise like the Jets he would get them to 8 or 9 wins with his style of play. The offense doesn't has to win the game just don't lose it, get some turnovers on defense and have a strong kicking game and you'll end up 9-8.
