Foolish for you because you didn’t have to deal with the verbal abuse he had to endure. Maybe you would say differently if you had to deal with random cowards threatening you and ostracizing you.

Plenty of people with a lot less money and fame have endured much more.

I’m sure you also feel sympathy for Lebron James and other athletes who also get “ostracized” when they volunteer to discuss topics outside their sport.

spare me the bull**** about having money. Being immune to abuse because of lots of money is a lame excuse the broke ass public like to use to validate their stupid assessment of people they don’t know.

And he was ostracized for doing what was best for him not YOU. Maybe if people minded their on bull**** they wouldn’t get so butt hurt when others don’t agree with what you do.

    you sound mad.

No one broke into AR’s computer or read his diary. The man went on TV and told the world his opinion.

Yeah, I get that the two are different. But at the same time, Arod was asked about FOOTBALL. There was no reason for him to respond with politics. He claims that he doesn't like attention but seems to do plenty to get it. That's why I don't buy that he's going to ride off into the sunset in retirement. He wants his opinions heard and I think he likes the controversy it creates.

Rodgers' comments are seen as news-worthy because he's made a point of making controversial comments and doing controversial things many times in the past.

For me, I'll be happy that this is his last hurrah in football (hopefully). I'm more than ready to move on. I'll root him on as a Steeler this season but he's annoying as a person IMO.

He was asked a question and he answered it. That’s it. Pulling the money card is always the bug spray to get the cockroach out. Because he’s rich he is suppose to eat **** and because he’s rich, he’s suppose to be quiet? Is that how it works?

    bug spray? roaches?

wtf are you talking about? Just say you didn’t watch the video.

He was asked about football and he said “I’m gonna plead the 5th” and then went into a rant about Fauci.

No one asked him about Fauci or politics.

If your boss asked you about a work assignment and your answer is “the 2nd amendment needs to be overturned” you deserved to be bashed for a batsh!t answer.

    I personally wish
    Athletes
    Musicians
    Actors
Would all stay in their lane
I don’t pay to hear their political stances
Their lives and mine are completely different
Due to the large amounts of money they make
    But
    Everyone has an opinion
    Like everyone has a butthole
Reason that ESPN is absolute garbage today

I'm talking to you!!! How many questions are you gonna keep asking?

I’ve been my own boss for years. I told my last boss to go **** himself when he tried to tell me what to do.

I ran a part of a corporation with a bunch of divisions

I was at a national sales meeting giving a presentation to the CEO etc and they kept asking questions that were pissing me off because I was really good at my job

I finally blurted out “if you don’t like how I run the ****ing place I’ll just buy it and run it the ****ing way I want to” and the entire room got very quiet

3 months later I owned it

    ........

We all make choices that have consequences that come with them. Some choices feel harmless at the time but end up not so. The consequence is a feedback on the choice we made, sometimes good, sometimes bad.

But that isn't the end of the story. Those consequences create new choices with new consequences. The thing is, while you cannot always control consequences you always have control over your choices.

OK, philosophy lesson over, have a good day... :icon e ugeek:

ehh, that’s boring. I have no issue with people speaking on social or political issues when asked their opinion.

The reason folks are mad at AR is no one asked him about Fauci and its an unforced error that white Mike has to address.

AR loves to troll. I just want dude to win a playoff game for us and talk about new players or his vision for the season.

Way to avoid the hypothetical Mr Tuffy Tuff Tuff guy

That usually happens when a person realizes they aren’t making sense or didn’t even know what question AR was asked.

    Stop embarrassing yourself.

One curious thing about drs is that once they retire you start seeing them more often at work.
It has to be a tough thing to dedicate your entire life to one focus, and then try to walk away from that focus. Most of us sort of just start doing something for a living, changing it up here and there, and call it a career eventually to do what we 'really love'.
Obviously there are those that can just fully walk away and seemingly not miss it. But I think for most pro athletes, there will always be that voice inside. Maybe Rodgers will simply ride off and enjoy a quiet life with his bride in seclusion and privacy, but he'll always have his spot on Pat Macafee should he want it.
