While I had heard he was sick, I am not sure that was the complete reason, it may added to it.
Our O Line could not slowdown that pass rush... well, to be more correct, Arthur Smith had no answer for that defense.

In order for Smith to have an answer for that defense his boss would have had to admit that the Texans defense was a problem or more accurately that anything the Texans did had to have an impact on the Steelers approach to football with its already stated premise that No nothing they do affects how we approach the game. Rock meet Mr. Hardplace.

Let's pray we win enough game just to make the playoffs this year.

You can miss the playoffs , and not get a good pick.

I'm probably being optimistic but I feel like the team will be like that patient who has been drugged into a stupor for 15 years and finally taken off the meds. They will see things clearly, they will be part of a game plan that has a chance, and they will finally play to potential.

    I hope You are correct.
I never want to suck. Hell it ruins my week to lose one game let alone many games.

Me too! I felt like I was cheating on myself for the last 15 years. I have been an avid fan, not a homer, for 50+ years and I always wanted to win but I knew we were going nowhere.

    Truthfully..
I never felt, or feel that way. Just like I never knew exactly when we would actually make the SB, I never knew when we wouldn't. Until we were eliminated.
For Example: In the later Steelers teamsI thought for sure we would make the SB in 1994, and we lost to the Chargers, or in 2001 when we lost to the Pats, or in 2015 when we lost to the Broncos, and they won the SB, and I didn't think we would make it in 2005 when we went on that losing streak, and yet we did, and I didn't think we'd make it in 2008, but we did....
So ....I realized I never knew either way.

You can have a great pick and not get a good player with it.

The sheer number of can't miss, sure thing, franchise QB's drafted in the last decade should without a doubt prove that the very concept of can't miss, sure thing is a myth and that its a rigged gamble at best.

To Rodgers credit, he didnt reveal he was sick and said it was the Texans defense that shut the Steelers down.
