I thought I remembered him getting credited for tackles in a game he didn't play in...but maybe that was just a joke that I'm remembering.

I can also think of one thing he (allegedly) did that he didn't get credited for.

LoL. While I laughed, its not nice. @Formerscribe@Formerscribe is what he is, but he does understand football, and we all have our faults. I personally like the guy, and yes I do argue with him .......a hell of a lot, but I don't have to agree with people to like them , that's something that the age of the internet has created, and I like many were around a very long time before that.

    Exactly.
If someone is going to brag about a coaches tree then let it be by coaches that only came up under them, and that actually did well.
What the f**k do I care about a bunch of fail branches.
That would be like bragging that Cleveland had the most HCs, and Qbs.
Not something to brag about IMO

Joe Gibbs is clearly a top 5 HC of all time.

    Uh that's totally not true.
Almost every coach that was here last year has a job elsewhere. So......

FWIW, Butler was a pretty good DC IMO.

Was brought in with the mandate of "get more sacks". I think we led the league every year he was DC.

He was DC from 2015 - 2021. Here are our sack ratings (starting with 2021 and working backward)
I think Butler was a good complement to Tomlin. I think Tomlin wanted to cover more and Butler wanted to blitz more. Having the tension between the two was probably good for the team. Although IIRC, we gave up a bunch of big passing plays too...which is the risk when you get after the QB.

I didn't like the Fitch hire. But I think this was the result of Ben threatening to retire if we kept Haley. So we picked the guy he wanted as OC. Unlike Haley (who challenged Ben in the way that I think Butler challenged Tomlin), I think Fitch just did whatever Ben wanted. Just like I think Austin did whatever Tomlin wanted.

Especially since they weren't all elite QBs.

Arthur Smith is now in Ohio State as OC and I think Austin is still without a job right now.And where is Matt Canada?

Once again nobody gives a crap about them as assistant coaches, we're talking about them as a HC .

Probably due to Ben being a turnover machine in the playoffs .

Nobody is denying that but stop acting like Belichick's coaching tree is impressive on their own.

The defense gave up over 400 offensive yards per game in the last 7 playoffs game....Nothing to do with the turnovers on offense...And even before that,Tebow had 316 passing yards, this is the rock bottom.Tomlin is a defensive head coach with the worst defensive resume of all-time in the playoffs

Likely the fault of Ben too @steelersrule6@steelersrule6 ...Even the great Tom Brady would struggle to win with a awful pass defense in the playoffs....And it was a year before they gave up 299 rushing yards to the ravens .Don't blame the offense when the defense can't leave the field at their own

I can blame the franchise QB when he can't sustain drives or score points until the team falls behind .

When you have no margin of error and you have to score on every drive, turnovers are more likely to come on offense since you have to force things to just stay in the game
