I didn't know Cowher coached RBs or was the OC, Roethlisberger was a game manager under Cowher and then throws for over 500 yards and 6 TD games under Tomlin .

Ben was played a part in that disappointment 26 TDs and 20 turnovers isn't elite QB play in the playoffs.

I don't pretend to be a McVay disciple but I can say with 100 certainty that anyone touting Tomlin as a great coach clearly has an agenda that is not about NFL football.

I'm new here but I'm not new to special interest forums. I get the impression you think your opinions are worth more than the other members here? You would be wrong about that too.

@KnoxVegasSteel@KnoxVegasSteel is respected here so when he tells some one to **** off he is generally correct

Trolls redundant posts and look at me are not well received

Learn from this lesson and grow from it

Guess who coached three different players who won DPOY it wasn't McVay.

Congrats for Watt but the 2 other was when Lebeau was in complete control of the defense.LeBeau was hired by Cowher...And those 2 players was signed(Harrison) or drafted(they trade up for Polamalu) when Cowher was still the head coach

If you look at McVay,he is a offensive coach and Kupp won the OPOY in 2021,same thing for Todd Gurley in 2017...Stafford also won the MVP in 2025.And don't forget Nacua had a chance to win the OPOY last year,he finish 3rd in the voting

Cowher was great to assemble a great coaching staff, which is very important for a head coach

Nope don't try and pull that crap you want to give McVap for every player he coached, get out of here with that cherry picking now you want to credit LeBeau. I don't give a crap who drafted the players they still won the award under Tomlin.

If the team was ready to play by the coaching staff, the stats would been better....Too often they come flat against superior coaching in the playoffs in the first quarter and have to play catch up after that when this is when the turnovers are more likely to come

Cowher team was often great at starting the game, just look at the colts and broncos game in the playoffs when Cowher had outcoached 2 HOF caliber head coach

In this case,a player of the rams under McVay has won 3 DPOY and 3 different player won major awards on offense....Even McVay has the edge on that

Last I checked McVay doesn't coach defense, got to the Super Bowl and scored 3 points against an average Patriots team .

Yet Cowher and Tomlin have the same Super Bowl record, and who has the highest winning percentage in Steelers history.

Crazy he make the super bowl with Gurley who had major knee problem and Kupp was out for the second half of the season and playoffs....The pats defense were also great.I still agree that Belichick and Brian Flores had been better that McVay on that day

Make sure you don't make this argument in the Brees vs. Ben post.

If people apply the same argument for Brees being better than Ben, Stafford is better than Ben (has an AP1 and MVP).

And Goff is probably on pace to be better then Ben (5 PBs and peaking now vs. 6 total for Ben...Ben's). Goff has 8 more years to play before his career is as long as Ben's and he's playing his best football now.

I think that argument is not good, but at least one poster here supports is strongly.

despite Tomlin had prime Ben for 12 years,vs 3 for Cowher(I include 2006 when Ben was not himself because of his accident)

Giving up two special teams TDs in 2001 wasn't because of cheating, in 2004 Ben was a rookie and had a bunch of turnovers.
