    A) Will ST's cost us this season?
    0-
    1-
    2-
    more

    If there is one thing that is consistent it is that every time ST's comes on the field for the Steelers I am always on the edge of my seat.

    B) How many will they win us?
    0-
    1-
    2-
    more

    Does "win us" include Field Goals?

    If above answer is yes, then I'll go with ...
    A = 2
    B = more

    I think once the 53 is decided and we get the same guys on the field practicing together it will get better.:cool:

    Yes. And therefore I will go with you B answer but your A answer is still too many but probably accurate.

    BTW, I'm considering "cost us" as more than 1 "F-up".

    I actually fear that ST will cost us the Bears game. I included that in my prediction for our record this year. So I think they will cost us one game. I hope I'm wrong but the Bears are great on ST.

    The Bears just got a new special teams coach ... Joe DeCamillis, this year. I wonder who was their Special Teams coach last year and if anyone else has hired him yet????? :hmmm:

    Sorry that I didn't respond to you quicker. I knew he was in KC because I watched them play against the 9ers a couple of weeks ago and I was like "WHY did we not get him???!!!" I bet he's pretty expensive really though.

    This won't be an issue if we can score on average in the high 20's.

    FYI,,, last year we scored 20 or more points 10 of 16 games.... only once did we score over 30 ( 31 in a loss to the raiders) .. so as you can see we cant expect to score high 20s much when we only scored high 20s 3 or 4 times last year.. and i see no reason why our O would be better this year? like him or not we lost wallace that did stretch the field and was our #1 receiver... everything else is pretyy much the same except we added wheaton and tinker bell

    It's to bad that article didn't also list what the Steelers average points per game was before Big Ben. If someone happens to run acrros that, please post it. I would have to guess that it would not be any better at all, probably lower.

    well scruffy i dont have what you are asking for but it would be EZ to get but heres a stat i do have.. last year the steelers won 4 games by 12 points.. 2,4,3,3, so avg 3 points per game.. they lost 5 games all by 3 points each... so thats 8 games determined by a FG or less and one game by 4 points... thats why STs are so important and i say ST will lose more than 2 games for us and will win more than 2 games for us ... with a team like ours.. below average O and scoring.. and above avg D to hold the teams to low points scored the ST is so important when 3 or 4 points determines 9 of 16 games...

    LOL. You know, your never as good as you think you are and never as bad as they say you are. Both sides can use that.

    Believe me, wish I was in my carefree world, doing bong rips and oblivious to whats happening and being Visa's (insert team) Greatest fan.

    F, maybe I just got old. Tell me you havent watched the last year go by with the same mistakes, same pattern, a keystone cop O line and a toothless lack of big play D and seen little progression?- or am I (and Hines) out to lunch? You can be optimistic when doing your check books also guys but in the end it dont help out.

    Great points! Plus throw in the fact that

    1. offense will turn the ball over and not be shy

    2. The offense doesnt play ball control and not put their D in bad spots

    3. the D has struggled last few years at getting pressure and turnovers- creating big plays

    4. Any Special teams return attempt is a penalty and they get out played regularly on special teams

    One of your earlier post was spot on- the offense this year is worse.

    Man, hopefully this is the rumble in the jungle- Steelers rope a dope'n me playing possum

    TTF...I've been watching your post and they generally confuse, confound, frustrate, agitate, levitate and alleviate me, and yet, I some how agree 98.341% of the time. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read this post!
