Song, or Instrumental of the Day.

Didn't know about it until now. I will now look into it.

 

I seen him, and his band when I was a young teen at the 4 states fair, and I was blown away at his ability to play multiple instruments, and how good they sounded live.

 

Its cool if you did, or didn't. Many of us have either reposted songs , and videos, or different versions of the same song. Its all good, we can like a tune more than once in a lifetime.

 

Kudos to the Rolling Stones. I listened to their newest album on YouTube and it sounds like a typical Stones album. Funny that the video for one of the songs shows clips of them when they were much younger.

 

Always dug this song ever since Doris Day came down the staircase. The series From made it very eerie.

 

Saw her when she opened for Steve Winwood at the Greek Theater in 2017 and then joined him on a few songs later on. Pretty good for an old gal.

 

She has a great voice

 

I saw Steve Winwood way back in 71-72. He was with the band Traffic.

 

I've seen him 3 times as a solo act (great shows all). Interesting how each time he did Traffic's Low Sparks of High-Heeled Boys (whatever that even means albeit a great song), it was performed completely different with lots of improvised jazz but different arrangements altogether. Fun listening live to his extensive career hits with Spencer Davis (at age 15) to Traffic to Blind Faith to his solo career.

 

Was feeling a bit numb today, comfortably that is. Nice little guitar piece by some unknown at the world famous Pompeii Arena. Great song writer and lyricist, but nobody really misses you Roger.

 

I miss Roger being with them. Its not PF without him IMO.

 

I see people saying they seen this band, or that band so, and so times, but what is the most you've seen of a band or certain band members live?? Most that I like I've seen 3, or 4 times, but somehow I've seen this guy(Zakk Wylde) live 9, or 10 times, either with Ozzy, or with one of his bands. I'd have to look at my ticket stubs to be sure if its 9, or 10.

From what I read, Comfortably Numb was the very last true co-writing piece they did with lyrics and music. Anything after that was one or the other. I do truly appreciate all that Waters wrote for them from the beginning even before Gilmour joined them but never cared for the way he treated Rick Wright who IMO was as integral to their whole sound on keyboards as was guitar, bass and drums. Never cared for Waters singing as time went on but a hell of a writer.

I only ever owned their first album which I liked. I still sing that song, "We'll Make Great Pets". 4 simple verses that pretty much sum up humans.

 

Did you see AC/DC with Scott? I thought Johnson did a great job after Scott passed away.

Little story, I lived next door to the Grandmother of Twenty One Pilots Tyler Joseph. She loved telling people she slept in the bedroom from the video for Stressed Out. She told me the parents wished they never were in the video. To much recognition when they were out and about.
