It's the only song I can remember by them. I know they had another hit, but I can't remember it.

In The Navy. I was in the Navy at the time and that was probably the most despised song on the ship.

There are quite a few legendary elderly figures who seem to be approaching the end of their journeys. Mel Brooks, and David Attenborough have each reached 100 years old. Clint Eastwood is 96. We should enjoy them while they’re still with us.

I can remember YMCA, Macho Man, and In the Navy. I had an uncle that really into the disco scene when I was a kid. He was always playing records and dancing. He has a partner and they entered local dance contests. They would win often.
Because of this influence, I still like some of that genre. Not like Pandora channel 'like', just off it comes on randomly I don't 'freak out'.

I actually like much of the disco genre, but I can only remember the 2 Village people songs. Im also constantly defending the bands who dipped into the disco waters when it was popular even though they weren't disco bands. Most called them sellouts, and I called them influenced by the times

Don't try to take me to a disco
You'll never even get me out on the floor
In ten minutes I'll be late for the door
    I like that old-time rock 'n' roll

I did to but damn if I admitted it. One summer our Boardwalk was overrun with people wearing "Disco Sucks" T-shirts.

I can assure you that they are alive and well at my wife's family weddings. At this point of my life I despise weddings. Last 10 years have been all my wife's side. When I hear one is coming up I see dollars flying out the window. Her brother had 3 daughters and all got married within the last 16 months. All got pregnant shortly after. So between the wedding showers, weddings** and baby showers we are out a couple grand.

**I remember how excited we were opening our wedding envelops. Most were 25 dollars. A fifty had us jumping for joy. Now I'm told we have to put 250.00 in the envelop. And we see them once a year if that.

    Rant over.

The Silver Bullet Band. They were very popular in the 70's. You probably didn't like them cause you sucked working on the night moves;) Don't fret, I sucked too. Took me a few weeks to figure out what those points were sitting way up high. Matter not now since the ladies of my generation are sitting way to low.

You just gave me a splitting Deja Vu All Over Again headache. Those events constituted 98% of our social calendar in the early days. I hated that time and the awful receptions and having to sport triple knit Leisure Suits. Explains why I kept moving further and further away from friends and relatives and an ex-spouse.

Netflix has a movie called Hunting Housewives. Plane crashes in the wilderness and trouble ensues. Reminded me a little of that show we enjoyed on MGM. Nine bodies in a Mexican Morgue.
