If only the Bucs would score more TDs instead of settling for FGs, there wouldn't be so much pressure on the pitchers

 

It's sad you can't get excited when your team goes up 4-0 early Of course the Reds are within a run with 3 to play. 9 outs without a run is next to impossible with our BP.

 

Thinking we may need to score 15 a game in Philly to have a chance.

 

Pray for a rain out. Bottom 8th, up 5-4. Really cool - 3 times they had bases loaded, twice with no outs, and not a single run. Now that's consistency.

This just in, after the rain delay, Cincy inadvertently grabbed a pitcher from the Bucs bullpen and he instantly gave up 2 homers and 4 runs ironically to the Bucs. Go figure!

 

The rain helped. Santana actually held them even putting 2 on. W 9-4. Back to even steven at .500.

 

Imagine if we had a Decent BP
Easily be 10 games over .500
Hopefully the situation improves
Either by roster moves
Or
Spending money on a quality closer
I know I sound crazy
But
Put another starter in BP
Hernandez is a good pitcher in our farm system
Don’t know if he will be ready to come up this season as a SP

My prediction: Above date will be last time the Pirates are at .500 for this season. Next 13 before ASB will destroy this team. I predict 3-10. Bright side for Bobby Nutbag, he can start making plans to salary dump at the trade deadline.

Oh well, time to take crap from all my Philly friends.

11 did the trick last night. Other than the RISP thing, best O in 35 years and definitely most exciting. Would be nice if they would do this when Skenes pitches like they did for Ashcraft last night.

 

I did the same thing when the score was 5-0 watching the MLB animated Game Tracker and predicted a 15-2 drubbing until I checked the final score as I was heading to bed. Color me shocked, and delighted and thought of you immediately.

You're goinna love this article SM about how over-the-top condescending the Phillies announcers were all during this game, even when the home team was crashing left and right. This is not unlike the Mets and Red Sox announcers in past years when the horrid Bucs somehow came back to beat their teams. For a day, the Bucs were Kings of the World (err...State).

Loved it! Thank you! Best part was my wife had like 6-7 family members at the game. They go up once a season and try to pick a game that is almost a guaranteed win. Sadly in the past they have feasted on my Bucs. Was thrilled when I woke in the middle of the night and saw the final score.

Valdez is a good replacement so far for Horowitz missing from the lineup. Callihan and Mangun are contributing nicely and fun to watch. Nice to have Griffin back. Endy is a nice exchange for Davis in the lineup but Davis is still really good picking off runners. Reynolds is having a very good steady year now that he has protection around him in the lineup. They just need to score those RISPs which could offset weak pitching. Tonight will be a real test against Sanchez.
