What are your expectations this year for the Steelers defense?

I don't care he's making that big money and got smoked as much as you want to glaze him .

 

McVay is a good HC, but his GM deserves a lot of credit for his bold moves.

 

The seahawks had only 3 turnovers that game,not 4.

Special teams were a disaster for the rams in that game,so much McVay fire his special teams coach after that game

 

This is the thing with that Jags loss.

They were just a horrible match up for us.

 

McVay is a good coach with a WINNING playoff record and more overall playoff wins than Mike Tomlin, in under half the time Tomlin was HC of Steelers. This is fact, truth, reality, etc.

 

Again,Jalen Carter is a all-pro caliber player,thing like that can happen...This is not like it was against a scrub like when Tomlin was outcoached by the backup head coach of the browns in the playoffs game of 2020

 

Who cares about some dumb comparison between Tomlin and McVay .

 

Yeah, and Ben was outplayed by Baker Mayfield 4 turnovers to zero .

 

They make 2 conference title game with Kordell and they were in the top 10 in yards and points in both of those years.They were not bottom 10 in yards on both side of the ball like the steelers in 2021 or 2025,close to that in 2023.In fact it never happen in a year that the steelers were bottom 10 on both side of the ball under Cowher.Only the offense in 1998 and 1999,they were bottom 10

 

They were never on the field at the same time

 

Look on the bright side. Tomlin was a better coach than Marvin Lewis.

 

Oh please, you weren't even watching the Steelers back then you just want to try and gas up Cowher. And what did Kordell do in those two AFCCG .

 

You're trying too hard dude your troll game is weak . McVay is a good HC but don't forget they scored three points against New England in one of the most boring Super Bowls ever.

 

Nice comeback because you know Ben played like crap first play of the game couldn't recover a fumble, along with three interceptions in the first half I'm sure you will blame the defense.

Ball was on the ground for a good five or so seconds. Another player recovered it; leading to a Safety.

 

I mean,it was still by far the worst game by the defense of the year.Almost 400 yards by the browns offense.Yes Ben was awful in that game and it was the biggest reason why they lost but the backup head coach of the Browns has still outcoached Tomlin like crazy.It was a true coaching clinic

 

It was impressive that Cowher was able to make the AFC title game twice with Kordell.The game against a powerhouse like Denver in 1997 was still close despite the awful game by Kordell.....Put any version of Ben in his first 15 years in that game and it would been a W for Cowher and the steelers against a great broncos team

 

While I mostly agree, that 42 year old QB looked every bit his age in the last month of the season. Can't see how he will look any better later this season.
Last season was a pass first offense. Steelers need a run first offense for Rodgers to survive the season.

 

So what, he choked in both of the AFCCG .

 

He can look better with an improved WR group, and if the OL takes a step forward.

 

Any assistant coach in the NFL should be able to win a game when they win the turnover battle 5-0.

 

Speaking of choking or complete non show....

 

Ben had also 500 passing yards and 4 TD.37 points for the steelers offense....Maybe with one or 2 more stop by the defense,it would been different
