Yeah I think that thing we aren't supposed to mention must not have been working too well for some people. LOL. What a difference a few pixels can make!

 

We still have special teams issues...that much is certain. You must win all 3 phrases of any game.

 

I'd have to think with Wheatstone coming in instead of Cotchery they have speed at all positions and a deep threat that might make teams respect that. Love to see Moye get some first team reps with Ben in the redzone. One thing this team does not do well is jump balls and that puts a lot of pressure on execution/precision.

 

Lmao I'm down on this team but the starters did look good tonight. Ben had time and the chiefs have guys that get after the qb. I was also impressed with Jones which I'm guessing the coaches were as well since he didn't see one snap after the starters went out. I would like them to win next week as if they don't they will be fighting history but they fought it in 05 being the first 6th seed to make and win the super bowl.

 

Yeah I think Moye could create some separation. He looks like he could be a scrapper. I liked him a lot tonight.

 

this team is certainly not 2-14, but with their special teams problems still ruining games for them (tonight was just another shining example) and the fact that they have fewer weapons on offense says to me that they most likely won't be a winning team (i think 7-9, if that). i would LOVE to be wrong and eat crow, but i don't see them doing anything meaningful this season.

if only they took special teams more seriously, maybe then they'd actually look like the team they think they are. what's the use of the new special teams coach if he can't improve one thing about the horrid special teams? he's practically worthless.

 

IF the special team blunder offenders are weeded out during the preseason I'm not too concerned. That's an If though.

 

Yeah that's been the frustrating part these last couple of years. We never seem to play well at all phases of the game. If the O looks good the D looks bad and vice versa and
if both play pretty well we lose a close game because of specials. Steelers beating Steelers is becoming all to common.

As a Die hard who wasn't able to watch the game I just dropped my head in disgust.

Now that I know it was a joke I guess I should watch at least the first Qtr. at 1 AM. Guess I need another cold one!

 

This game was not a joke. You are gonna see some good things from the starters. It's gonna be tough to watch though knowing that Jones is hurt because he wore it out tonight.

 

they're not going to change a thing. they haven't done anything different with their special teams since they won Super Bowl XL. this season it's the same weak, lazy mindset but slightly different culprits. it's really like the Steelers don't think special teams are important at all. i'd be shocked if they practiced kickoffs and punts enough because so far, from what i've seen in this pre-season, it's like kickoffs and punts are a brand new concept to this team. heck, it seemed like that every season for the last 6 years or so.

 

I think the Starters looked good for abot a quater and ahalf, after that looked like they slacked off to me, I don.t kno why Tomlin didnt challinge the catch that reciver from KC caught then bobeld to me, it was aparent the ball was on the ground when he caught it the second time NO CATCH . Ben looked good , the recivers had a decent game. ST'S r a joke..... It looks like to me we might be one of the most penilized teams in the leage this year..... JMI . I had high hopes coming into the season , But this team has not showed many thing yet,

 

We will not go 2-14 in a division with the Browns and Bengals

 

heck I was wondering who the two wins would be against? did the old TB team reform or the 0-16 Detroit team?
