Then how is Jehovah... the Christian god any different from Zeus, the Greek god or Jupiter, the Roman god? Odin the god of European Pagans? People don't believe in Zeus, Odin or Jupiter anymore. So everybody is an atheist to some degree. I just believe in one less god than Christians do.

Also... the red doppler shift in galaxies have proven an event took place 14 billion years ago that spawned space, matter and time. Also the background radiation from this event has been observed by Scientists that back up this event taking place. Something happened 14 billion years ago... and it wasn't a white bearded, Hebrew Sky God in humanoid form wearing white robes saying "let there be light."

That has nothing to do with what I said. I said that a great scientist doesn't dismiss something, just because he has no proof of it at this time. They had no proof the world wasn't flat, they had no proof of many things that we take for granted now. If all scientist were like You, science would just stop at what was already known, and never progressed. I gave many examples of this. There was no proof of atoms, microbes, radiation, or many ,many things we have proof of now, doesn't mean they weren't always there.

A supernatural deity in human form, creating the universe is highly unlikely. Sorry.... if that makes me a bad scientist, then so be it. I'm not really a scientist in the traditional sense. I'm a computer scientist... AKA, IT computer geek.

There's still some good rock out there but for the most part it's dead. Someone once asked me how many iconic bands can you name from 1950 to 2000, that number is countless. How many iconic bands can you name from 2000s to now. That number is considerably lower.

If rock is dead... then why are Metallica, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, etc... still selling out stadiums and arenas? I don't even like 3 of those bands I just listed... but I have to give them props.

If I said 3000 year ago to you about microbes, and atoms, I would bet everyone would say , highly unlikely.
Who says that everything has to be like some else Said it was. I would say a true God could take any form he wants to???
I know this for a fact , there is real evil, and there is always a balance. If you desire to live your life without believing in something because You have no proof. That is all on you my good man.

I am referring to new music. There's still plenty of us old f****** to support the old bands. But we're dying out LOL

No belief required. Nuclear fusion of hydrogen atoms in the center of stars does not require belief or faith. It's fact-based conviction. Humans like to think we are the center of the universe. We are not.

It did before we provide proof.
Who still says we are the center of the universe, that maybe Southern Baptist talk. LoL

There's some good rock music out there created in the 21st century. It doesn't get the limelight these days that hip hop and modern country get. I've heard some good young Millenial and Generation Z-aged rock bands on Sirius XMU station.

I meant most humans. There's a good chance we are not alone in the universe. There's likely sentient, intelligent life somewhere out there... even in our own galaxy.

I would say most humans, and even humans that believe in God , believe there is life somewhere out there.
Hell I know some Southern Baptist that believe there wasn't dinosaurs. LoL.

I'm with you but I know many people that couldn't make it through this life without the hope of a wonderful afterlife. I love some of their answers when I ask what the hell will they do for all eternity. When terrible things happen in life I have family members who won't acknowledge it or say my favorite thing, "it's part of his plan". I think it was Karl Marx who said religion is the opiate for the people. I sure the hell understand that.

I enjoy messing with them when they inform me I'll be burning in hell for eternity. I tell them why would the devil punish me? I'm one of his boys;)

I'm guessing you enjoyed Bill Maher's Religulous. I loved that wacked out priest he talked to at the Vatican. My wife is very religious and out of respect for her I'm going to Rome in Sept. She'll be in awe while I'll be faking respect. Maybe I'll ask if they are helping the young boys whose lives were ruined by his clan. Actually know one:(

My sister went to Noah's Ark in Kentucky and came back and informed me I was dead wrong. Turns out man lived side by side with the dinosaurs. I'd have loved to have had one as a pet. Call him Dino of course;)

We got lucky when that Asteroid hit the Yucatan about 65 milion years ago. Wiped out the big lizards and allowed mammals to thrive!

You know what's crazy is there have been actual fossilized footprints of at least a type of man, and type of dinosaur found together. Also we have found structures with dinosaurs in bas-relief, or engraved on the structures, and they look pretty close to some many scientists believe how a few looked. This mean nothing solid, but it is mysterious, and could again change things many archeologists believe now. We shall see.

Hominids didn't evolve until millions of years after the Asteroid strike on the Yucatan. Just sayin'

That they believe. They also believed the sun, and planets revolved around earth at one time.
They also believed that volcanos erupted because of angry gods, and not too long ago we also believed that ulcers in the stomach was caused by stress, and that a certain fish had been extinct for millions of years until some have been caught. Every year things that we believed before are found not to be true.

The only mammals that existed 65 million years ago before the asteroid strike on the Yucatan were small mammals like rodents. They were small enough to evade dinosaur predators that were carnivores. No way in hell would a mammal the size of a modern human have a snowball's chance in hell of surviving and evolving. There's no fossil evidence of this. I think you're bullshitting just to support your narrative. You do the same thing with Steelers topics. :lolol:
