The problem with Watt,he is not the same player since 2024.His contract would not been a issue if he was the same player that 2019 to 2023

Of course,I also agree that it don't prevents the steelers to sign the players they want

Rams can cut him basically anytime after the 2027 season without much issue.

Remember now that the Klingons weren't what they are today. Back then they were just overly tanned a$$holes with crazy eyebrows. I always wanted to be a mixture of Spock, and James T. Kirk, or James T. Kirk with Spocks strength, longevity, and Vulcan powers.

How much, and how many different teams did you pick. I can't do it this early. I just can't bring myself to do it.

There are teams who worry about cap space and then there's those elite organizations who never seem to pay the price for it. Rams are one of those. They sold out for years to win a title, had a one year crash after winning, then were right back in it.

I don't really give two ****s about the cap generally speaking, but it almost seems like the teams with the wealthiest owners operate with different rules.

I put $800 on the Rams, and a smaller amount on the Steelers much better odds .

Everyone conflates two separate issues when they see big contract numbers.

one is whether or not the player is providing adequate return on that investment.

the other is the opportunity cost of a team carrying the contract.

Right now the opportunity cost of carrying Watt’s contract appears to be the Steelers not being willing to pay Bynum $15 million per year.

Watt is in a make or break season for the contract ROI.

Safety the Colts signed in free agency last year and a player many Steelers watchers wanted to get signed.

    Meh

Watts contract as verified before would not have been a factor

If the wanted him and he wanted the Steelers a contract would have been done

    Watt was not a factor

I agree with you. Many do not. Since I do not claim certainty on all things I post, I was trying to grant the other side of the Watt contract discussion room at the table.

But maybe that is dubious hindsight?
