What are Reasonable Expectations for Mike McCarthy in year one with the Steelers?

This roster is a good fit for McCarthy. He is going to improve the offense. Defense meanwhile has an established core who are hungry to make a run.

And then on top of that McCarthy and Khan did a fine job working together on this FA and draft class. It's a good sign.

There are some negatives mixed in I think, like the DC hire which I was not a fan of. But initially the core of players may help him out on that side of the ball.

McCarthy is not a great HC but sometimes in this league you'll see hires of the right coach at the right time and things can work out for a while. This may end up being one of those times.
