I always liked him. Good signing. Best TE room in the league.

His last decent season was 2022. Maybe he can help as a third tight end, but he might just be a camp body.

He can be a core special teams player that is why he was signed

    #3 as a blocking TE

Ah ha !! The plan is to deploy the dreaded 4 Quarterback/5 Tight End set. The rest of the AFC North is doomed !!

If Johnson and Reid couldn't find a use for him, I highly doubt he's useful at this point (as an offensive weapon). Maybe he can block for Warren and Dowdle.

    A meh signing....

i see him as more of a redzone sneaky TD type. i think rodgers will look for him in those situations as more coverage will lean towards friermuth and washington down there. if we can squeeze 3-4 TDs and some first down situations out of him in that way it will be worth the pickup. he has good hands. i just don't see him going down the seam much anymore.

If you are looking at him as a pass catching TE then yes meh

If you are looking at him as a ST player it was a good signing

You don't think Reid or Johnson thought of that? 0 TDs in the last 3 years.

Did either of then have Rodgers who knows the guy???
Again not all Qbs see the field the same. It's why we see different Qbs play on the same teams with the same players, and different players targets go up, and other go down per the Qb playing.
    Let's wait, and see.

they didn't have our other two TE's or big wr's along with him. that's the part that makes it sneaky TD's. who are you going to guard first and foremost? probably not heavily on tonyan because of what you said.

What makes you think he's even going to be on the field that much in the red zone?
