If I'm the Steelers I am not trading any of my edge rushers, unless I get an offer I can't refuse.

Not only that, it seems like Watt, Highsmith and Herbig always get banged up and miss a few games each season. I'd keep the group intact, unless I got a ridiculous stupid offer.

Currently the Steelers locker room seems to be in really good shape team chemistry wise

To bad Pickens isn’t here to spread his cancer

Wife: Sure am glad I had that mastectomy before the cancer spread through my entire body

Husband: You should have kept that breast it looked great last year

One of those things is something tangible and factual. The other is based heavily in speculation and information the team leaked to try to justify a lousy trade. Of course, the apologist among us thoughtlessly swallowed those nuggets and continues to mindlessly regurgitate them all over thread after thread.

Some bone head down the street: The doctors lied and faked the mammogram

Good writers know when their metaphors have failed. Bad ones try to prop them up by insulting those who point out the flaws. The mammogram metaphor is inaccurate and misleading, so I'm not surprised that particular writer chose it.

Every fan group has apologists who just can't accept that their favorite team made a mistake. Watching them twist themselves into rhetorical knots and lash out at anybody who dares apply critical thinking to the situation can be entertaining in its own right, but eventually, it just becomes a bore.
