I’m just going to have to trust your personal experience in this regard

I have only lived in Cleveland

Agreed. And not only that but if Arch plays well and comes out in this next draft whoever ends up with the top pick is unlikely to come off it. When a QB is seen with a significant enough value no team is going to come off that pick unless the player makes a stink and threatens to take the year off. In those events even if the team has a QB in place chances are that vet gets put on the market before the pick.

And on top of all that the Mannings are the type of family that would be difficult to deal with for Cleveland. They are untouchable in NFL circles.

It sucks but it's also the price of sucking.

Health needs to favor them. Truth is no team, no matter how stacked they are at that starter level, is going to win it all if they aren't favored to some extent by the football Gods. And since the advent of the salary cap, teams that had the type of depth to overcome injuries don't really exist. The difference in top contenders and the playoff posers are those players who step up in the crunch.

That said I will probably put some money on an AFC and NFC team to win it all like I often do. And the NFC team I pick will certainly be LA. The AFC will require watching some camp developments.

A Browns fan from work likes to talk trash. This was his text to me when the news broke and my gif response. :hehehe:

Cleveland gets a solid 26 yr. old starting first round pick DE, two first round picks, and a third round pick for Myles Garrett. How can they not be happy with that? They aren't losing a Joe Greene or Lawrence Taylor.

Unlike you, I'm happy the long underachieving Popcorn nightmare is over. Steelers are the new Cowboys. Hopefully, McCarthy can right the ship, but I'm gonna continue my cynicism. :smiley1:

The rams win the super bowl in 2021,down year the year after(5-12)but they are back to be a powerhouse again....The steelers are about the same since 2021.A very average team with a average record with a poor playoffs game each year.....Overall since 2021,the rams are 7-3 in the playoffs vs 0-4 for the steelers but I guess @steelersrule6@steelersrule6 will talk once again about the past when I am just talking about the current mediocre stretch by the steelers

When I first heard the rumors whispered about, I thought "No friggin way."
But the Rams know that window is closing, so why not take a shot.
I think Garrett has enough gas left to have a very good year in that division and the Ram's should have a legit shot.
The first round pick? They think they have the QB of the future already, and have some time to develop him.
Should they win the Super Bowl or even be in it, they will likely move a player(s) for pick(s)'
So I think they will be alright.

The Browns on the other hand, well, they are the Browns.
    They'll probably draft 3 more QB's.

If the Steelers could have gotten that for Watt, even a year ago, it would have been a no-brainer.

I was told vastly overpaying Watt wasn't a problem. Could those folks have been wrong? lol

He survived the bombing in Hiroshima then traveled back home to Nagasaki and got nuked again an hour after he arrived home. He survived and lived to be 93 years old.

Hell, Chernobyl was almost as bad as those A-bombs dropped on Japan... and it was a reactor meltdown. Hard to believe it's been 40 years. Lots of people died and Chernobyl disaster ultimately bankrupted the Soviet Union along with the Afghanistan war.

Actually you are also talking about the past

You are just selectively picking one part so you can repeatedly whine

If you want to live in the past live in all of it

Otherwise quit whining and move on

And take the rest of the whiners with you

    Steelers are 0-0 this year

T J Watt’s contract was not and is not a problem

It’s just something for a couple of posters to repetitively whine about but that’s them

If the Steelers want to sign a player they will

The will look like a team that had a real shot at a Super Bowl and went for it rather than playing the middle like the Steelers always do.

Having less money available to spend is a problem. This is inarguable among the sane.
