His work in the media doesn't help his case. He hasn't been good there imo. That said, people equivocate his performance in the media vs his performance on the field; also inviting something called a category error. That said, a lot of people like to contradict a lot and are uninformed so it doesn't bother me as much anymore as it used to.

Yes Williams hold the ball very long but at least he is able to avoid the sacks.He was sacked 68 times in his rookie year but he improve big time in 2025 with only 24 sacks.I don't care much about the completion % since it depend the type of the offense and a checkdown is good for the completion % but often bad for the offense since it don't move the offense much but I agree he need to be more consistant for the accuracy but this problem is correctable....If he improve to 62-63% and continue to play the same way,he will be a super star QB

 

You did not watch the game of the bears since 3 interceptions in the playoffs by Williams was on fourth down

 

LoL. What the blue blazes does that have to do with throwing a int, and if You use your brain, and think, I was watching the games, and on here talking about in the playoff game thread. LoL

 

I mean,context matter when it come to the interceptions....I mean,I guess it would been better for Williams to throw out of bounds on fourth down(similar to Russell Wilson with the giants last season)to protect his passing rating and keep the interceptions low

When you are on fourth down and nobody is open,you need to force things no matter what.I prefer that over throwing out of bounds to protect the stats since sometimes a miracle can happens in this situation.Just ask to Eli Manning in super bowl 42 to David Tyree(I know it was a 3rd down and 5 but the chance to win that game would been very low with a sack or throwing out of bounds)

 

Just because you throw a int on 4th down doesn't mean it wasn't a bad throw, a bad decision, and that someone else wasn't open.

 

As most QBs do, Williams benefitted from a big jump in the Bears' run game in 2025. Something they lacked in 2024.

 

Accuracy has very little to do with the type of Offense and a lot more to do with the QB's own individual ability as a whole. Hell, even the most friendly of QB Offenses in the vein that the likes of Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVay or even Kellen Moore do need a QB who is capable of both effectively and consistently place the ball in the correct spots. Without accuracy, no matter how good everything else is for the QB, he will always be limited.

 

True but the completion % can

The completion % don't always tell the whole story if a QB is accurate or not.I agree that Willams need to improve on that but it can be correctable...He is still a high ceilling QB

 

A QBs ability to both place his passes into the correct spots along with having good ball security are exactly what determines accuracy though. As a result, completion percentage is mainly driven by these two factors for neither are dependent on schemes but the individual; thus making completion percentage an argument based in objectivity. Williams regressed in both area's in 2025; that much is irrefutable. Even if I were to award the complete aspect that completion percentage doesn't tell the whole story, Williams release time was terrible.


Can he improve it?! I hope so. Will he be able to though given his penchant for his "hero ball" instincts?! Time will tell.

 

Marshall Faulk was also one of my favorite players. Insane ability and a football mind that understood everything that was happening on the field. He did everything well.

I don't understand why anyone would make fun of Marshall Faulk. He was absolutely dominant with two teams, but what he did with the Rams was insane. He was probably the first running back that could line up and play receiver. He was that good.
