Professional College Football no longer has the same meaning now that players are playing for themselves and not the team. The game is ruined at that level now. It's also drying up non revenue generating college sports programs by shrinking their budgets to support what is happening.

I'm very much tired of their greed. I absolutely HATE international games. I absolutely HATE the streaming games. I would stop watching but I know that is a futile thing to do, I would only be punishing myself.

I think many younger "fans" already have the various streaming services for other content...but that is certainly highly variable.

College football has made it bewildering and difficult to watch games without various conference and/or region specific networks. It still seems super popular.

But, to your point, it has totally stopped my own college football viewing. UW is either on a network I do not get or on a higher priced tier or some other place that is far too many steps for me to just want to flip the game on while I am working in the garage kind of deal.

It is almost certain that a collaborative effort between the owners, the league, and the content platforms will kill the goose that laid the golden egg at some point. Sometimes it feels like half the internet and most of TV is propped up by NFL content.

I never said it wasn't, what does that have to do with what I said??
Also there are 5 hundred, and 30 something college teams, and only 32 NFL teams so what do you expect??

I dont seem to have any problems watching college games. I didn't miss one Razorbacks game, and I don't have any streaming services. I watch the Little 10,and 12, and the SEC mostly, and of course whomever they play.

Badgers end up on either the Big10 network or Fox Sports 1 for most of their games. Cable/TV providers have those channels on separate more expensive pay tiers.

I barely want the cable they make me have to get the dang internet. I guess it isn't streaming services per se, but just the super annoying way tv providers chop up the networks in my area.

    I see.
I get both those channels on my satellite, of course during the football season I get the sports package, and during the rest of the year, I get the smallest , most basic package they have.

SteelersfaninPhilly said "College is a better product."

I said "I can't take college football seriously when peoples' voting plays a part and teams pad their schedules with cupcakes."

You said "You don't think that is happening in the NFL, in anyway??? Especially the schedules. How do you think we get the Ravens at the end of the season every year lately, and that's just a small example." which doesn't seem to have anything to do with what I said.

I said "The difference between the best and worst teams in the NFL is way smaller than the difference between Powerhouse U. and Podunk State in college" going back to my original point and pointing out that NFL teams can't pad their schedules with cupcakes.

So many DB announcers it's hard to watch the pregame. Then they play so many commercials and the questionable calls by the refs affect enjoyment.

The NFL should come out and say any situations where the call is undetermined after review the tie goes to the offense or defense, but make it consistent.

It has not been the same game since the 1990s.

lol If your a fan of a team with money.
College Football is a joke now, 50 percent roster turnover each season, stealing players etc.
It used to be a great sport, now it is trash just like college basketball.

The NFL is making the Boxing mistake, getting too greedy, and putting everything behind a paywall. I am not paying for more services or packages, certainly not in this economy.

Worse comes to worse, I will just listen to radio online and watch highlight clips.

Look around; It is the death of Broadcast Television that all sports are now moving away from the major networks.

Rupert Murdoch is doing everything he can do right now to keep FOX relevant, but after the 2029 season the NFL will exercise their option and cancel FOX's NFL rights, and then sell these right to the highest bidder.

See this video on how Murdock and Trump are trying to save NFL on Broadcast Television. As the Streaming Networks who have all the money are wanting to swoop in and take everything, like they have done with all the other sports. The question is can the Government force the NFL to play its games on Broadcast TV?

And still with all that what does it have to do with what I said??? Show me where I said that the difference between college teams, and the difference between NFL teams schedules isn't different.
Again You have only 32 NFL teams, and you have over 530 college teams, so yes the schedules would be way different.
Hey but you got an agree.

:lolol: I think STD keeps a notebook.

Yes, I agree with him. There really is no padding your record with cupcakes in the NFL. There is far greater disparity in college than pros.

Thats just the nature of the beast.

I truly don't wish anyone bad, and I've always lived by ...Live, and Let Live until they don't let you, but I do like to remember who to pour a bit of salt on when needed. LoL

I would challenge this assumption "No one is clamoring for football 6 or 7 nights a week."

Bar owners would love to have NFL games every night of the week. I would also believe that every NFL partnered Gambling Website would also love to have NFL games on every night.

And, also count me down as someone who would love to have an NFL game on every night during the season. Right now I am stuck with NFL+ for watching Replays of games from the weekend a few nights a week during the season. :)

They offer 1 hour condensed games on NFL+. That's what I do many times, especially with MLB. Better use of our limited time on 3rd Rock.

Why would that matter? Still the same amount of games to gamble on whether it is Sunday or another day.

Watch a commercial. It is all about Live betting during an event. Now days you just don't bet win or lose old man. :)

Most people want to do the Live betting on the games they are currently watching. The more they can spread out the games to different days and times, the more live betting they are going to get.

    AI Overview

In-game (or live) NFL betting allows you to wager on games as they happen, with odds and betting lines updating in real-time based on the current score, time remaining, and field position. You can place live bets between plays, drives, or quarters on markets like the moneyline, point spread, and specific player props.
    How Live NFL Betting Works
    • Dynamic Odds: As the game progresses (e.g., a team scores or a key player gets injured), oddsmakers instantly adjust the lines.
    • Quicker Markets: In addition to standard game lines, you can bet on granular events, such as whether the next drive will result in a touchdown or a field goal, or the exact result of the next play.
    • Cash Out Options: Many platforms offer an early cash-out feature, allowing you to settle your bet before the game ends to either lock in a partial profit or cut your losses.

I have done some Live Betting with my brother when we were at a bar watching a game. It was pretty fun, and did get me more into the game we were watching.
