Don’t read much into Howard taking QB2 reps. It’s part of seeing if he is even on the roster in September.

If he is not taking QB2 reps he is toast.

Will Howard not being on the Roster by September would be one hell of a storyline for certain. Quite a bit would have to happen between now and then though. As stated though, today marks Day 1 of OTAs.

Will be interesting to see how it all goes from here on out for certain.

Training camp and the preseason games should be fun watching the two young QBs.

Will Howard is the guy who could potentially be safely stashed on the practice squad depending on what he shows in preseason (or more precisely, what he doesn’t show).

They will likely keep 9 OL it likely won't be sorted out until training camp.

The discussion on the Fan tonight was that of course Rodgers and Allar are safe and it will be a battle between Rudolph and Howard for the backup QB. If Howard wins then Rudolph will be released but if Rudolph clearly outplays Will then Howard might be sent to the practice squad or a phantom injury to put him on IR again.

It's tough to read anything into this camp.
Mostly it's just installing the systems and figuring out who is who and when to be where.
Rogers did not look rusty at all, for a soon to be 43-year-old guy. His arm is very much alive.
They had the OL as noted, thinking that's the base they want to go with, but I would imagine it will change.
The coaching is very different. I want to see how this unfolds as the season progresses.

The Community notes on X said that this picture is a prank. The name was made up and the girl in the photo is not his wife.

Pretty much figured that. Not exactly the sort of girl Rodgers would go for. His shirt is probably fake, too.

LOL. At the same time, pretty much nothing would surprise me about Rodgers. I'm sure she'd be all-in on his darkness retreats and such.

This would make the most logical sense.

Either or would be acceptable. I would personally like Howard to show off but that will be up to him. Looks like all we can do is wait and see.

Staring down your first read is not a habit you want to get into unless of course the point of the drill is to have Drew drop back and throw to him while he is running a crisp route.

Not to me. Dont know why this is even a debate.

Roll with the young guys and the loser becomes the BU. It’s not like Rudolph offered some amazing level of play that cant be matched as a BU.

We went with Dobbs when Landry was every bit as capable of winning a game as Rudolph is and that was for a team that was much more likely to compete for a SB.

Keeping a 30 year old BU over young kid whom many think has a lot of potential is crazy talk, JMO.

Amen. Rudolph offers nothing except QB3, low-level game manager who will connect on one really nice pass but the rest of a game will be blah.

MOVE ON. Keep the "young" guys (they're grown men, not some 17 year old for goodness sakes) and see if they still have a next tier ceiling to reach. Allar is the least polished of the the three, but MR is hardly polished and has no higher ceiling left. He is mid-low floor, mid-low ceiling...nothing to see there. When you don't have a franchise QB, you have to take risks on higher ceiling types, even if they come with a low/unknown floor.

As to your Rodgers statement, I'm not worried about anything, but fatigue, and wear, and tear. Like last year, he will start on fire while fresh, it's later that I worry about. I'm repeating myself over, and over, but if we could stay in it enough to make the playoffs with him on a pitch count, it would be awesome. I truly believe a healthy, fresh Rodgers could do damage in the playoffs.

Ok some of you must be high . LoL
Now I could be proved to be wrong this year, but most HCs don't want to go into a season without a backup on the team that has NFL experience. So if You are asking them to get rid of Mason, then You are probably asking them to go get a different Qb with some NFL experience. Not many HCs will go into the season with all the backups having no NFL experience . It's just not done very often

While I agree to a point, a fading/failing Rodgers in the back half of the schedule sets up a perfect opportunity for QB2 or QB3 to show what he's got. Problem is, Rodgers can't be so proud not to remove himself from the game if he is playing like dooky.
