Guard is easier to play then tackle, thats why the less athletic ones kick inside.

Going from LT to RT and vice versa is hard to do because you have to rewire your brain and do everything backwards. Some can do it, some cant, the ones that can become more valuable.

i wouldn't say easier to play. it is more technical from many stand points. when the tackle is taken up the arc, they esentially become the next tackle for stunts and blitzes. you also have to learn both sides of you with the center and tackle. a lot going on in that position. the only part about being less athletic is how far you may be moving in pass protection, but it's got more and different coverage to watch for.

He played right because he couldn't beat out Moore.
Here I will use Your Najee stuff against you. We will see who plays longer Moore, or Jones.

Would You like to bet me money on it??? Because if I'm going to do all the searching, I want money for my time. Either Your memory is short, or your playing games.

They do it all the time from HS ,college, and the NFL, this is not a Steelers thing, but people want to make excuses why a player they like fails, they want to add to there misunderstanding of coaching, or want to pile on to there dislike of coaching

    You just ignore facts :lolol:

It was never a competition, Moore cant play on the right, he literally said it. Then they were going to switch Jones to the left when they drafted Troy but he got hurt, so he had to stay there.

You never see a guard being moved to tackle when they leave college. Tackle is harder, that’s why they get paid more.

One reason it's harder is that OTs face far better athletes than interior guys. That's why edge players make a ton of money vs interior DL.

I think he meant "paid" not "play".
And yes he was correct. :lolol:

Ok. So they moved a guy who was making more money, and was a higher draft pick elsewhere because the guy that was a lower draft pick, and made way less money didn't want to move. Is that about right??? LoL.

Like I said , we'll use your Najee rule . We shall see who is still playing, and getting paid . Moore, or Jones.

So he said, but left tackles also get paid better. It is fair to wonder if Moore was just being selfish.

You know the one, Warren is still playing, and getting paid, and Najee isn't. Well let's see how that goes for Moore, and Jones. I'll keep you updated.

I think you are mixing up arguments and not even accurately at that. Ive argued that Rudolph would be out of the league, you might be thinking of that.

With Warren and Harris the primary argument is that Warren is better and that if the Steelers liked Harris better they would have picked up a very affordable option and kept him.

Najees not playing now because he is coming back from an achilles injury, once hes back from that, I imagine some team will pick him up as a BU but his days or being a starter are probably over.

But even looking at your comparison, it doesnt make any sense. Jones is dealing with a neck injury that may end his career. Achille injuries derail players for a season. You’re not even comparing fruit at this point.

The primary argument was who was better when the Steelers had both. It was clearly the guy who started every game, played more snaps, and got more touches.

The gap between them wasn't big and factors such as all the wear and tear on Harris made the team move on rather than keep both. (Nobody argued that they should let Warren go.)

It is why the argument about who is still playing or getting paid more doesn't always work, because there can be other factors at play.

    I call bull.
An Achilles injury to a 6th year Rb that has as many touches as he does is a huge thing. It's not the same because You don't want it to be. Both are bad injuries, and both can be career ending.

Najee is injured. It's only that way because you want it to be.
I find it funny you have changed your whole view on the Jones /Moore situation. Like I said if You would like to make a real bet I will show You more than one post of You saying Jones was playing RT because he couldn't beat out the LT. I've actually already looked them up.

That's cool. I'm not going to sweat it. I Like the ole boy, and I like You also, so I don't really want to down anyone, we all make mistakes, and forget things. Life is too short for hurting each other, unless of course you are forced into it.
See I'm getting mellow with age. LoL
