many are moaning but we are used to it. i think this is the best team we have had in years. omar has done a beautiful job of arranging this build. lets look at what he really has done.

    new coaching staff.

seasoned QB comes back to help the transition of two very good young QB's to get their feet under them.

offensive line being built well with young highly touted players. nice depth as well.

RB's loaded for bear. as good as any in the league.

WR's out with the old and have built a much better group that will see the field this year.

TE's still strong. added a couple of young players that should help.

defensive line looks like it could be very good even better depth that should shine. good job here.

LB'ers inside: still have speed and depth of veteran leadership. the MT chit show is out the window. these guys should be used quite different than in the past.

new coordinator, not stuck in the we do what we do mode. adjustment for opponent and in game should be quite a difference.

    OLB's: we are loaded.

secondary is loaded for bear with a lot of depth and young players added

ST's: as good as always with some young additions to help.

i don't see much weakness anywhere. so, go ahead and complain but they have done well to fix this team from what it was the last 19 years. just because you don't know the results yet, that's why they play the games. on paper it's good.

I don't expect the steelers to be a bottom 10 team or a top 10 team in the league.I hope it change but I still expect the steelers to be in the middle, similar to the last 5 years.Like around 13 to 16th best team

Agree on a few points, but I have a little push back...
The new coaches were absolutely necessary
new coaching staff was absolutely necessary.... while i'm not overly enthused about the choice of coaches, I am keeping an open mind.

As far as qb's are concerned, I think your looking through black and gold colored shades... there's seasoned veteran... there's past your prime... and then there's need to ride off into the sunset.... yes, the young guys can learn, but there is no better learning experience than actual live playing time rather than sitting and watching... especially when the person they're watching is no longer doing it at a high level

    RB's totally agree

i like the combination and contrasting styles in our wr rm

Imho, we do have the best 1-2 punch at TE in the league

The O-line will be a work in progress... with so many moving parts, OTA's Camp and pre-season will be especially important

I like our rotation at D-line, but believe that more is needed..... especially at the nose

The ILB's effectiveness will be determined by the way they're schemed by the coaches...
Absolutely wait and see approach here

    Totally agree on the OLB's

The secondary i reserve judgement on....
The starting corners are set, but i'm concerned about the nickle... our safeties are questionable as well.... Brisker creates turnovers, but has some holes in his game, while Elliot is injured so often that i'm not sure if we can truly count on him (especially coming off a major injury).... i think the S rm won't be finalized until after next yrs draft

No that is not the most likely scenario

    You are wrong

It most likely will not and can not be the same

    Quit whining

We have SOME good players, and we have SOME good coaches, just like last year so ......
    We shall see.
I do believe some people will be highly disappointed in certain things, that is the ones that actually know what they are looking at, but this doesn't change the could be outcome.

"It most likely will not and can not be the same". I agree because no way in hell we have 4 straight seasons the same. Last 3 seasons: 10-7 with first round Playoff loss.

If the OL comes together, the team's in good shape. I still don't think the middle of the Defense is good enough but let's hope new schemes and improvement from younger players corrects that.

    Yes

Now with that said if they go 10-7 this year but show steady and real signs of improvement as the season goes on then I think that will be a good thing

That would be a sign of moving away from mediocrity

I would be good with that but naturally hope for better

    I did a quick search

It’s entirely trolls whiners and people posting false information look at me posts and click bait

Unfortunately it being off season the percentage of this has increased exponentially

Matt Williamson brought up something this morning I haven't thought of for a while.

All things being the same as they are now, same roster and financials, if you could merely swap Rodgers for Malik Willis, who's making about the same money, would you?

This wouldn't be the same as rolling with Howard or Allar, Willis has proven he can win at this level, thought it's a pretty small sample size. He doesn't have the track record or experience in this offense that AR does. Though, he does have the possibility of being your long term answer. And he's 26, with fresh legs and a big arm.

    What would you do?

Interesting point about the ILB, we’ll see if that makes a difference.

IMO thats the weakest position on the team but we’ll see what Graham can do with them.

More of the same record? Maybe. Maybe even worse at first.

But I expect to see the approach to be a lot different, and to start seeing some growth on offense as opposed to consistently playing conservative, not-to-lose football.

No he doesn't know the MM system and AR throws a specific way that MM wants his young QB"S to throw to generate power..Also AR is a practice perfect film study freak which MM also wants his QB"S to be..Again AR flicked the ball 60 yards in the air multiple times. He threw balls so fast his huys didn't even see them until it was to late ..We are not talking about a QB with a dead arm just dead running ability..Brady really could never run neither could Manning..
