You can also take it to the bank that Poni boy will do a quick retreat when they dont have a losing season and give us some classic Randy Quaid quotes. "Big deal they will blow it in the playoffs"

Crazy all the trade Mason Rudolph talk.

How can everyone already forget last year; when the Steelers lost 2 QBs before the season even began!!!

Has Rodgers ever shown inclination to coach or mentor young qbs. To me, his personality is a bit like Ben’s. There is no way he’s willing to stay in pocket and take hits. I suppose he could teach the young ones to be like Pickett. Bail out of pocket and throw an incompletion. Gainwell was a good receiver out of backfield. Is his replacement any good, because I feel check down, or a flare to the rb will be a popular play.

What are you hoping for by keeping Rudolph? Rodgers taking them to the SB is slim to none. Whats Rudolph going to do.

howard should benifit greatly with a second year around aaron rodgers. allar has so much to work on and only one year with rodgers, we will see his learning ability. that will be a lot to absorb in one year. mason as well if kept. this will only strengthen all of the underlings. especially to learn this offense. i see it as a good thing for all parties involved.

Find out we have by them sitting on the sidelines? I’m not saying that either guy is ready to be an NFL starter but we won’t know anything about them unless AR gets hurt. That’s if they don’t turn it over to Rudolph because we are so close to contending!!

a quick way to ruin a young QB is also throwing them to the wolves before ready, so what would we really learn by that? especially a new offense to the whole offense and many new faces along with the new offense. would be a bad time to throw a young QB at that. this year with rodgers will be the best way to transition and pass the torch for next year.

Bring it on. We'll get a good low draft pick in the first round.

So the Steelers will waste two more years at least if our young QBs aren't NFL caliber next season... We could know that this year, if they hadn't signed Rodgers, but that won't be the case if Rodgers plays the same number of games as in his last two seasons.

    I prefer 5-12 over 7-10!

Not sure you have a top 10 pick with a 7-10 record

you are assuming they won't be good enough after this year. i'm assuming they have a chance to be much better after this year. that leaves us two years with howard after two years of learning and three with allar, which he will need. if howard is the real deal we can re-sign him. then we have allar to at least to find out if he's going to be the guy. we don't need to know this year.

He seemed to be helpful to Howard last year, and he got along fine with Jordan Love at Green Bay he didn't act like Ben did towards Mason.

I remember some fans wanted the Steelers to tank for the 2026 draft, it ended up with no QBs to even draft .

The same thing every team expects from a older veteran backup.
