Movies Recently Watched

Pretty sure I'm only one who will dig this movie: Remarkably Bright Creatures. Netflix starring that Flying Nun, Sally Field. At 79 she does a great job. I had a big crush on Sally when she was in her prime.

I read the novel so had to see the movie. I dug Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus. The story is through his eyes. Movie does a good job staying true to the novel.

 

I have watched a bunch of old movies lately:
Absence of Malice
The Jackal
The Prestige
There Will Be Blood

 

And an interesting plot twist near the end.

Daniel Day-Lewis is one hell of an actor! He has taken on some amazing roles. (There Will Be Blood)

 

I have enjoyed every movie I have watched with Sally Field in it. I am going to check this one out as well.

 

SNL UK just did a skit about him last week. Pretty funny

 

I don't watch movies to cry. We've discussed this. LoL

 

I call the Prestige, Batman vs Wolverine, with David Bowie along for the ride.

 

Guess we won't ask you if you enjoyed The Crying Game.

A dark comedy and survival horror thriller

 

Great Bowie movie, but no Batman, and Wolverine.
Some good music in that movie.

 

Was it good??? I've been wanting to see it. I believe Sam Raimi directed it, same guy who did the original Evil Dead, Drag You To hell, The Gift, and the 1st three Spider-Man movies.

 

It was entertaining despite focusing on two unlikable characters.
