Actually 2 runs in last 3 games, 2-1. Jared Jones will be back soon. Bubba probably heading down to work on his control.

I forgot the Reds win. 2-1 is nice but 2 runs in 3 games not a good look. Getting ready to watch the day game today. Maybe we will have a run explosion. How about a 10-9 win.

I think it's Keller today. They best get him some runs.

Keller started shaky but settled in nicely.

Jones most likely not going in starting rotation off the bat

Bennie Daniels is still living but he wasn't on the WS roster. He opened the season in the starting rotation, moved to the BP when Vinegar Bend Mizell was acquired in late May and was optioned to AAA in late June. Law is the only living Pirate who was in the WS. Daniels is the only other living Pirate who wore the uniform at any point in 1960.

Daniels' best game was a 1-0 loss on May 23 vs the Dodgers. Sandy Koufax, who struggled in 1960 and didn't become dominant until 1962 won his first game of the season that day (after 4 losses). Koufax pitched a CG shutout striking out 10. He walked 6 and only gave up 1 hit---to Bennie Daniels in the 2nd inning. Daniels pitched 7 innings, giving up just 1 run and 4 hits. Daniels wasn't a bad hitting pitcher. In 1959 he hit .310 for the Pirates. He had 5 career HRs.

Not sure where you are out west but do you try to see the Bucs when they are close to you? They are not in Philly until beginning of July. I was going to go up if Skenes is on the mound but Philly is going to be insane at that time with the World Cup and 250th birthday of America.

Bucs need to join the AL;) Only 4 of the 15 teams are over .500. Damn NLC has all 5 teams over .500. Rest of NL only 3.

When Jones comes off rehab there will be a period of time while he is working up to six innings in a game. When he is ready to join the rotation I would hope that Mlodzinski then becomes a set up guy (if they even still use that term). He is good the first time through the lineup but can get racked the second time. The logical move is to only let him go once through the lineup and see if he is more effective that way.
Bart is catching again tonight. Hmmmm…. Are they showcasing him to the Giants?
Can’t wait to see Seth Hernandez!

Mlod would be a great middle reliever more so than a set up guy
Pirates have a lot of quality SP
Going to be interesting to see who stays and who goes
    Skenes is the only untouchable

That damn NLC seems so strong this season. 88 wins could be 2nd or 3rd place.

Yes. Was thinking middle relief but wrote set up. You are correct.
Ozuna needs to heat up at the plate or he could lose his job. Davis is probably safe because Skenes wants him. I still smell something in the works for Bart, but not sure who would replace him. They really meed some offense from the catching position.
Weird to see them in the position of potentially making meaningful moves instead of just flipping retreads for prospects (or suspects).

Haven't been to a Dodgers game since 2002 when the Bucs were out here and caught 3 games from great box seats behind visitors dugout (gift tix). I moved to the desert shortly after that and now to the Eastern Sierra and haven't been back for a game since. No desire for the travel nor crowds nor LA traffic. Saw plenty of games before that most late inning disappointments.
