And he would be going to a tougher division and an even worse team.

I've worked outside my whole life. I have worked in all kinds of northeast weather, and particularly the snow and cold weather. It's the kind of work where everyone else has work called off and they are looking out their windows at me while busting my ass, freezing my butt off. I am done with doing that.

We own a couple acres, so I would work in the elements all day long, and then come home and have to deal with all the snow at my house and all the work that comes with acreage. I just don't want to do it anymore. My wife also hates the wet, dreary, cold weather in PA.

Love the people. Hate the weather and the lack of work opportunities, politics, and tax structures here. We pay premium prices for inferior public services and opportunity in our part of PA.

We've been going to Arizona for 20 years and have planned this move for a long while. We know what we're getting ourselves into. Less maintenance and a one-story home on less land.

    Let the easy living begin!

I don't know. Most cities I go to are filled with people that look halfway alive. There is concrete and asphalt everywhere and the weather sucks, while you also have to fear for your life if you venture into the wrong area. There is barely any grass, no privacy, real estate and everything else is incredibly expensive, and a large percentage of the people aren't friendly.

Arizona has plenty of lakes and there is a lot of vegetation around most areas. Also, where I'm going, in a couple hours I can be in Flagstaff at 7500 feet above sea level and white cap mountains in the distance and ski resorts. Yes, it's hot and it is a desert climate where not at elevation, but there is a ton to do. The landscape of the area is also largely taken care of and beautiful along all the roads and highways. I many of the areas where I live, it looks like a landfill on the side of the highways there is so much garbage strewn everywhere.

To each his own I guess.

    Thank you my friend!

I hope you are also able to get to a place you really want to be at some point.

I lived in Mesa, AZ. for seven years and if not for a family tragedy I would have never left. Arizona was the best, most economical, beautiful place I’ve ever lived. The people are great, medical care second to none and opportunities abound. All (4) major sports as well as the Rattlers.

The weather is perfect from October to May. The summer months just stay in the pool.

We would take trips to Flagstaff and Tucson. Went to Biosphere 2 and the Airplane yard. Holidays, especially Christmas are very special.

I hope it works out for you.

Why would Allar have put a wrench into those gears? It would be an amazing feat of coaching if he is ready to successfully play in an NFL regular season game in 2026.

I'm not going to be far from Mesa. It's a gorgeous area. We actually looked at a bunch of homes in that area but settled on another area close by.

You are correct when talking about the great aspects of that area and Arizona in general.

I'm very sorry to hear about that family tragedy. I am also sorry to hear you were forced to move from a place you loved so much.

Thank you so much for the well wishes and all the best to you and your family.

Well yeah he was only 12 years old in 2016 :smiley1:

On another note I just think the Steelers are going to want to see what they have in Allar and Howard before the 2017 draft

And I just got sucked into buying a used DeLorean. The ad said “low mileage, only driven from time to time.”

It makes no sense for the Steelers to be desperate to sign a 42-year-old QB who has a low ceiling at this point and shows no commitment to the team... Much better to have a high draft pick and be focused on the 2027 season even if this is not Rooney want...He is just happy to be slightly above 500

This is terrible. Rodgers returning means Howard is likely to be lost to another team via the practice squad. McCarthy will keep his 3rd round pick Allar on the roster. Rudolph will definitely be the #2.:rolleyes:

I think Rudolph is gone. If Tomlin were still here then I wouldnt be as sure but I dont think MM has an inkling to keep him. Im not sure he even knows hes on the team.

Sorry, I wasn't my intention to down You, and if I did, I'm truly sorry., but Desert in its definition tells you all you need to know. MY best friend lives right outside of Lake Havasu, and I have family in Flagstaff so I'm going by what I've seen. There are about 130 lakes total in all of Arizona. While places like Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Louisiana have over 2000, and more easy. As You said to each his own.

I'd like to visit the desert and see it... but I'd rather live near mountains with trees.

Same, and I need lakes, rivers, and streams. Hell there are 7 different lakes within a 20 mile radius of me, and 2 are within a few miles, and not counting the rivers, and the creeks. I Love all that stuff, plus it's warm where I live most the time. I do have to give Arizona one thing though, no tornados.
