That guy is a Steelers hater and tanking is for losers.

I am sure that the spurs in the NBA are happy to having tanking for Duncan in 1997 and Wemby in 2023.....

They were never going to pair Rodgers with Pickens as WR1, imagine that knucklehead running his routes half assed we saw Rodgers get on WRs for much less.

There is a lot of luck needed in the NBA depending on some lottery balls to get the #1 pick.

If the QB class is loaded as it is expected to be then they should be able to get their guy in the top 13.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he already sign a contract for two years last season with everyone assuming he would retire after last year? If so there is nothing to sign.

Steelers are not an elite team in the AFC. Too many holes and questions remain. This would been a good year for tryouts at QB. Not gonna happen now.

I actually like plain melted butter better than clarified butter for lobster it has more flavor

Clarified is good for cooking because it has a higher smoke point

hmmm I thought it was 2 for 20 and they had worked the voidable year angle that seems to be the rage. Well then on to the debate it seems.

Or perhaps improved quarterback play would have gotten Pickens to focus more often. We saw Rodgers getting on receivers plenty last season, be it for poorly-run routes or dropped passes.

If you don't like Pickens, Harris, and Pickett being brought up on this thread, try addressing it with the posters who brought them up. That wasn't me.

There's 300 other channels and it seems like I'll be taking my Sunday morning entertainment to the EPL. I'm not investing my time in a team that just wants to tread water and exit in the first round of the playoffs.

    This is a good thing.
I know that there are those who stubbornly stick to this "drama" nonsense and "stringing the Steelers along" garbage... and that's their stance in cement.
But Rogers was a big asset to the team last season and what little was provided to him, he developed for the better.

He's going to be good for Howard and Allar who will be right there for all that knowledge.
The one caveat that I have is:
    - As long as coaching gives the best one (Howard/Allar) a chance, if they are coming along. Get them in a game for some snaps.

The story lines actually should be:
Our front office has done little about QB from Ben's last 2 years till today. Some feeble attempts, no real trades to move up or race to bargain for a FA but instead went bargain basement.
That's on them and you can include Tomlin.
They did trade for Metcalf but traded away a 1,000 yards guy (ok, the noise made it worth it... but was it coaching? the offensive design? )
They did nothing but pick Roman Wilson who's not done anything other than carry a water bottle.
And they signed a 42-year-old future HoF'r whose running on 2 of 8 cylinders.
By the way, he did go 10-6. But we never really saw but a couple of those plays from Roger's legend.

So as some writer wrote, it's the best thing for the Steelers, given that background.

The really bad news? If Howard and/or Allar stink the joint up.
Mr. Omar goes into the 2027 Draft with a do or die QB or bust.

Yeah, and at this time last year 2026 was said to have 6 Qbs go in the 1st round, and the year before that S. Sanders was said to be not only a 1st rounder, but the 1st pick. LoL

Exactly. Not counting everything that's totally different in the two sports, but this simple matter should say it all about tanking.
One has 18 players on a roster, and the other has 53. If I have to break it down any further ,then I'm wasting my time.

My son will be happy. Rodgers standing ten yards back during the tush push just cracks him up
