Zach Frazier turned out very good, which is what’s expected from a second round pick. Anderson, McCollum and Cook are rotational players. Pat Meyer deserves no defense.

Anderson, McCollum and Cook all turned out better than okay; doubly so in Cooks case. The fact that Cook was able to even man the fort for multiple games proves just how well Meyer was with those players. As for Frazier, people tend to forget his biggest hurdle entering the NFL absent his injury history; inconsistent strike timing with his hands. We saw this at times during his Rookie Season when being asked to pass protect; namely against the likes of Indy, Philly, Kansas City, Baltimore and to a lesser extent against Dallas.

Frazier no doubt deserves credit for building upon a successful Rookie Season but to say Meyer had zero hand in it is simply untrue.

Did anyone else notice Buffalo wasted no time hiring Pat Meyer to protect Josh Allen

Moore was also better than expected for his draft position.

McCormick has also been better than expected.

The issue for Meyer is that Jones has not panned out. But with other guys doing better than expected based on draft position (at least not worse than expected), maybe that's more on Jones than coaching. Which isn't super surprising since Jones was a guy who was very raw (played fewer NCAA games than our OT this year Max) but had athletic ability. Jones is/was a boom or bust type pick. And he didn't boom.

If the neck injury isn't too severe, we'll probably get a comp pick for him because OL are so in demand.
