2027 first rd has to be QB and QB only. Unles we are drafting late again. LB and Safety should never be your plan for rd one.

Yeah, who wants guys like Troy Polamalu, Minkah Fitzpatrick, T.J. Watt, James Farrior, or Lawrence Timmons right? (Though two of those guys weren't drafted by the Steelers, all of them were first round picks who were excellent players for the Steelers.)

Not to be a di<k, but You said puts a team into the playoffs, and I was just reminding you we go to the playoffs all the time. Nobody is a contender unless you make the SB.
I don't know how to get this through people's heads. You can win 2 playoff games a season for 10 years, and still not make the SB. There is no stepping stone.
You win enough games to make the playoffs, and then you win enough games to make a SB. No in between. Example: Bills have won at least one playoff game for 5 years straight, and yet they are no closer to winning a SB now than 5 years ago. If fact they maybe farther away. Texans have won a playoff game 3 years straight.
You win enough games to make the playoffs, and then you win enough games to make the SB. Neither team that was in the SB last year won a playoff game the year before. There are no stepping stones to make the SB.

    :sleepy:

Losing season + Top 10 draft pick = Franchise QB

Franchise QB = AFC Elite Team = Super Bowl & Eventual Lombardi #7

    There's my math and calculations.

I see you were terrible at math
You and Your side kick just fail to see reality. If it was like You guys think Jets, Browns, Bengals, Arizona, Miami, Lions, Raiders, and others would all be in the SB all the time. I know it's hard to think sometimes.

The bills had several bad luck or several heartbreaking losses in the playoffs over the last 5 years... They still decided to fire their head coach.

When the last time the Steelers were competitive in a playoff game, start to finish, win or lose?

To win a Super Bowl, you need to be at least competitive in first place, and if that's the case, you can be at one lucky break or a miracle play away to win it all... Just look at the 2007 Giants or the 2012 Ravens.

It's true the Steelers don't have a franchise QB, another reason why they need a bad season to have a better chance of getting one unless their future franchise QB is in their roster but I will be very surprise if this is the case... A bad season can pay off in the long run sometimes, and the 2003 Steelers aren't the only example in the NFL.Of course teams like the Jets, raiders or browns,it don't work because their front office have often been poor in the last 15-20 years or more

Bengals, Lions and Raiders have their franchise QB.

Last time I checked, Terry Bradshaw was drafted after a 1-13 season... #1 overall, 1st QB taken.

Last time I checked, Ben Roethlisberger was drafted after a 6-10 season #11 overall, 3rd QB taken.

    My math is just fine.

The key is also to have a bad season at the right time, not in a weak draft!

LoL. I show You facts, and you move the fence, as usual. There is no look competitive in the playoffs. That's such a funny thing to say. You can look as competitive as You want , and still lose.
Get this through your thick skulls . You either win enough playoffs games to make the SB, or You don't.
There is no stepping stone. I have given 100s of examples over the last few years that shows that its not.
Only one way to win enough playoff games to make the SB. You have to make the playoffs. You will never win enough playoff games to make the SB by not making the playoffs.
Your Ravens have had a losing season in 2021 how come they didn't make the SB??

Oh that's rich. Now you don't just have a losing season to win the SB, you have to have one at the right time. I believe You, and @HeinzMustard@HeinzMustard are high on smelling your own farts

So going from 6-10 in 2003... to the AFC Championship in 2004 wasn't a stepping stone? They won the f**king Super Bowl in 2005.

Steelers haven't sniffed a conference championship in 9 years.

You probably ignored my third sentence with the example of the 2007 Giants or the 2012 Ravens... If you're not competitive, you have no chance to win... If you are, special things can happen. The ravens in 2021 was only 8-9 and they did not draft in the top 10 or close to that. They still draft a great player in Kyle Hamilton at 14 who is 2 time first team all-pro
