Some picks I liked. Others were Cleveland steamers. I will post what I think on Sunday or Monday.

Yinz need to cheer up. If the draft is half as bad as some are suggesting, then the Steelers will be picking in the top 10 in one or two seasons.

Gonna come down to coaching cause the player potential is there.

I'm excited for the new season for the sole reason that we have a new head coach whose background is in offense... plus a whole new staff.

We'll finish 7-10 and one-third of this message board will say it was a successful year because we didn't lose another blowout first round playoff game.

A lot of people here are already calling McCarthy a failure, the draft a failure, and coming up with reasons why whatever the team does this year, they better win at least a playoff game or the season is a failure and McCarthy sucks.

They literally just finished the draft. The head coach hasn't even met most of the draft picks. They haven't had a single practice or even a single snap with the personnel that will now be in camp. Nobody has seen the new offense or the new defense. We don't even know if Aaron Rodgers is coming back or not. Yet these determinations are being made by people here. It's beyond ridiculous.

Let the entire situation play out and wait to actually see the product on the field and all the players as they learn and adjust to the new coaches and schemes.

That's the only course of action that makes a lick of sense.

The NFL draft event itself was disappointing. Too many guest speakers, advertisements, charities, make-a-wish(es), waste of time events, and exactly one too many Seahawk fan recovering from brain cancer shouting into the microphone out of his mind. 90% of the draft event was a waste of my time. I won't be watching next year.

After having 12 picks … I thought they were going to have the ammo to do something really special, like moving up, or stash picks for next year.

Instead we got some guys with question marks.

It doesn’t feel great. However there is a chance they could pan out… so we just have to wait and see…

like if the OL picks work out our line is set for a long time.

These next 5 seasons are rebuilding seasons with MM heading up the project. If we miss on a pick this year, we'll get it right next year. Buck up buttercups, you guys asked for this rebuild.

Anyone who says they are excited about this overall draft class is a freakin liar.

There is so much that I would have done differently. But there are still things to be excited about.

Germie Bernard is an exciting player that complements what DK and Pittman over.

They now have a deep Oline room.

The DB room added some speed and size, their depth there improved. The competition will be fun to watch in raining camp and the preseason.

You'll have to wait, then compare and contrast my opinion to that walking monstrosity of a man, who has been right on the Steelers latey.

My write up on the draft will be more detailed than his. Be patient grasshopper.

So your take is to have no take and wait and see how all these players turn out. What a novel idea. Thank you for stopping in to share that tremendous insight.

Standing Pat with Mike T would have been a much better strategy. I mean what will we do without 10-7 and a 30 point WC loss? Pinning for those days.

This rebuild has already been going on for 3 drafts before this one. It will continue until we find our next true franchise QB.

And your take is to pretend that you know more than the people who have watched thousands of hours of film and actually met many of the prospects and render a full judgment. Please tell me which is the more rational approach?

Here’s clue #1 to to the answer:

Fair enough but saying let’s wait and see how it plays out? Yea no sht. I figured on a Steelers message board giving an opinion was the point. I’ve been wrong plenty and been right before as well. It’s not about the player necessarily it’s the process and direction.
