Im a huge Pavia fan. I think his is a first round starter but for the 5-10 height. However, I think Klubnik would be the right QB for McCarthy.

I'd be ok with Beck or Allar with one of those 3rds.

If they had kept Jones on the left he probably develops better and is the Tackle they thought they were getting. Some guys can play either side or switch and be solid, some can't. He was already looking a lot better at LT last year. Was he All-por? probably not, but a team can't have All-pro's at every position. Keep in mind not every 1st rounder or considered as 1st rounder is going to pan out, so I'm more than happy having a high upside pick in there that's shown he gets better each year.

Cowboys were talking to Shazier when we drafted him.

I think just about every year some dude is on the phone with a team when he gets drafted by another.

people are just looking for something to talk about.

Got to be at least this year. Set-back is not good for a tackle that has to move his head.

I hope his lowlights don’t remind us of Antonio Brown.

As he should, because it looked like a brilliant play to stand pat and still get your man.

What other team makes a trade with a divisional rival to let them move up to get someone they really want in the first round? That's Bat Crap crazy to help a divisional rival like that! I hope he torches them every time they play!

No but we can still blame him for not winning a playoff game in a decade and getting beat by 40 every playoff game in recent memory.

Not impressed. Taking a project tackle is a huge risk. This is what sucks about being stuck in this mediocre rut we are in and drafting 20 every year.

We make fun of the Browns all the time because they always suck and do stupid things. We can now add Dallas to this list. Trading with a divisional rival.

According to the draft value chart, PHI overpaid by a decent amount to make the move. Dallas is happy to take their picks. Maybe PHI is thinking their window is closing?

After hearing Lemon speak on stage.... it wouldn't surprise me if the Steelers on the phone listened and said "Dude we can barely understand you, go to Philly". I'm ok with not getting Lemon, but a bit unsure about drafting our 3rd OT in in the 1st in consecutive years.

When you take the 6th OT in the 1st at 21, while we have many other needs, it's clearly not the old BPA draft strategy.

The Steelers will never admit it. Maybe Lemon will spill, but I doubt it. The bottom line is that the Steelers didn't get their guy because they sat on their hands and waited.

Ultimately, I don't care if the story about Lemon is true. There were four players who I thought could realistically get to the Steelers who would be strong picks. It turns out they had to trade up to get three of them, and one went to the damn Ravens. The other two being Proctor and Lemon.

The fourth made it to them. They had the deep safety they needed fall into their laps and passed on him for a project who wasn't among the top 30 players available. Maybe he can work out, but it certainly looks like a bad pick right now.

Philadelphia overpaid because they have an AJ Brown problem, a need for a wide receiver so they can trade AJ Brown, and Lemon was a guy they really liked.

The Steelers took Iheanachor at 21 because they had a need at offensive tackle, and they took him a little earlier than they would have liked to.

This stuff happens all the time. But it's not overpaying if the player becomes a very good player. It just means the team that made that choice was right about the skills of the player they drafted and worth what they gave up to get them or justified in when they took them.

It doesn't really matter what we think about it. Nobody wins the draft on the day of the draft. They win when the players they took fully develop and become good players over the next few seasons.

The draft chart mean nothing when you have the player you want.....Nothing wrong to overpaid when this is the case

The only thing a 1st round guy has going for the team is that 5th year option. I think you're starting to see teams take some guys that maybe raw and let them develop, knowing they get that extra year if they do. Of course that's teams that can reasonably expect to not throw the Head Coach out every other year. If he develops into a strong starting Tackle that makes it to a second contract, that's a win to me because not every draft choice does that.

Just look at how many Tackles went off the board before 21. If he was the top rated tackle on their board, they would have been stupid to not grab him where they did knowing Jones is probably on PUP and maybe moving to IR designated to return.

I know we can't, but I would really love to see these "big boards" teams put together. That would really tell a lot about all of this. The funny thing is, I didn't want Lemon either. Kid sounds like Lamar Jackson when he talks. I wasn't sure what language he was trying to speak. If that was Omar's guy though, and you're sitting on 12 picks, you gotta make that happen. I just don't like when the team looks incompetent. I hope that Duck sucks in Chitown because I was really excited to see the Steelers draft him.

Exactly. And thats why Khan picking the 6th best OT at pick 21 smacks of desperation. No way in hell this guy is a 1st round talent.
