The steelers should never wait this long for a washed QB's decision. The reward is too low

and yet here we are. So if Rogers comes back do we draft another QB? If we draft another QB which QB leaves the roster? Please let Aaron just go away.

    Are they “waiting”?

What would be different if he retired after the final whistle? Went in Macafee to announce his return?

MAYBE they bring in some dirtball free agent. Can still do that.

Draft a QB. Can still do that.

Rodgers doesn’t need to learn the offense. It hasn’t changed. Plus he doesn’t run all of it anyways.

Hopefully he retires but this doesn’t really move the needle.

The decision of a 43-year-old quarterback should never impact the Steelers' draft... If it was Rodgers in his prime, it would be a different story. Rodgers is also not under contract.

They won the division last year after waiting on Rodgers .

Ya...this whole waiting stuff is all on the media. Steelers aren't being held hostage, they are going about their business regardless of Aaron's decision. And the media thinking they have the same information as the Steelers is laughable. Smoke and mirrors!

Never wanted them to sign any of these other FA QB's anyways.

They were still not close to being a Super Bowl contender... I mean, it was the same record that 2023 with Kenny, Trubisky, and Rudolph, and 2024 with Fields and Wilson.

Why not see what Howard can do in 2026? If he's great, wonderful... If he's poor, the Steelers would have a high draft pick in 2027... A win-win situation.

Art ll doesn't believe in throwing away a season that's why they're going to wait for Rodgers.

My guess is that they know already that Rodgers will be back and it’s just a matter of when it becomes public. It certainly doesn’t hurt the Steelers to have the public (and us fans) be in the darkness retreat until after the draft.

But...but...but.... we don't know anything about football if we're OK with a possible losing season if Howard flops.

    Ok Tweedle sisters

This is the same Ian Rappaport who recently posted that the Steelers have not made a contract offer

How the **** is he supposed to make a decision on an offer that doesn’t exist

I’m willing to bet @steelersrule6@steelersrule6 ’s mom’s basement that you are correct

Steelers knew exactly what they were doing last year and it’s no different this year

Yes and then got boat raced in another playoff embarrassment. Why anyone wants Rodgers back is beyond me. See what you have and if shocked great if we go 5-12 that’s fine too draft a QB in 27.

Rodgers had an affinity for Howard last year and if the Steelers draft someone this year Rodgers would be a fantastic mentor for both

    It’s really that simple
