"This late in season" gave me a good laugh. 20 games into a 162 game season. Alas it's the Bucs so for us to be in first after 20 games is amazing.

NLC could be close the entire season.

 

Let's hope for an Iron City type day!

Them battling Bucs up 4-0 but I think a weather delay in the Burgh. Only 4 innings in the books.

Bullpen needs some help, pronto.

 

Pirates have been pretty good so far, getting lots of guys on base and early runs but.......the bullpen has been both lights out and disastrous. Could have easily been a home sweep against the red hot TB Rays. So many passed up chances though with runners on base. This division is so crazy tight right now with each team over .500. Should be fun. Hope this team, now with a few more grizzled vets, can weather the dog days of summer after the ASG, a time when the Bucs have notoriously done severe nose dives.

Hoping Jared Jones will be our middle reliever when he comes back at end of May

 

I know it's way early but NLC teams all over .500. Only division in MLB that has all teams over .500.

 

This will likely change as we start playing each other more frequently. We're 4-2 so far against Reds and Cubs, so that's good. Get to play the Brewfarts this next weekend up in Bob Uecker-land. They have some great pitching with Friday night Skenes vs Woodruff and then Keller vs Misiorowski and then Mlodzinski vs Harrison. I think the 2 Polish fellas should have been matched up for translation and cuisine purposes.

 

Ozuna starting to come around ? That would really extend the lineup. Davis needs to hit ! All in all I like this team !
