I will get great pleasure out of beating them. When I get to my club it's all they are talking about. They really hate Crosby. I so want to stick it in their face.

 

Can the media possibly stroke Ovi any harder? Crosby > Ovi and it’s not even close.

 

I was surprised the ovation he got in Pittsburgh.

 

So we head into Playoffs on a 3 game losing streak against the Cryers who won 3 straight.

I get our games were meaningless but still scared.

I may have to stay away from Golf for awhile. Already they started with the text.

 

I doubt Sid will ever get the same type of recognition from Crapitals fans.

 

I know he won't in Philly. Flyer fans hate him. I sure hope he sticks it in their face one more time.

 

While I understand there is nothing to be gained by playing these last 4 or five games and it makes sense to not risk injury to any of your top players, I dont like heading into the playoffs on not just a losing streak but some solid butt kicking too. Letting Skinner take that beating last night was odd. I was glad to see some of the role guys getting time in last night but still leaves a bad taste in your mouth to be up 4-1 and lose 6-5.

 

Agree. We are going in losing 3 straight. Cryers are going in winning 3 straight. Has me concerned.

 

Win game 1 and last 3 games mean nothing. Game 1 feels big even though it's just game 1.

I think the rest was more beneficial than a win or two in meaningless games.

 

And so it begins. Pens start their quest for Lord Stanley #6 Saturday night. It would be one hell of a feat. I have no illusions of winning the Cup. All I want is to get by the Flyers. Already an amazing season since we were written off before it started. No idea how this will go. Of the 4 major sports I'd say the NHL is the closest to parity.

With Jarry the Pens were 9-3 with only 1 OTL. TBH I don't understand the reasons for the swap. Never looked to deep into it. I just hope Silovs and Skinner get it done.

They have their Phillies jersey ready for when they take off the Flyers sweater.

 

I know they are high on Lizotte but they guy hasn't played in over a month. He is making mistakes left and right tonight as he tries to shake the rust off. I'd have dressed Braz instead.

 

Pens were outplayed tonight. Better get it together. Wait we scored!

 

Well coached effort by the Flyers. Going to need to regroup for game two and work the dump and chase. Looked like watching a knob hockey game with the way the Flyers were moving sticks into passing lanes almost in tandem. Lots of broken up passes, very aggressive man on man defense and can Girard stop trying his spinorama play every time he has the puck. Also when down a goal in the final minute of the game take the shot! Put it on net and get the rebound, dont spend precious seconds cycling the puck.

 

Dammit! I blame the rains that screwed the Pirates. Bad day for the Burgh.

 

Pirates bullpen is suspect

 

Middle of Pirates bullpen is horrible. Penguins looked awful. Ugh

The Flyers definitely got under their skin and i think Muse gets them focused and ready on Monday

 

They were flat, terrible last night.

 

Lets hope, why did he eat players for 3 straight games?
