If they can find a trading partner by trading down in the first or second round, or they could trade away one of their three third round picks for draft capital in 2027.

Should be interesting to see how the Steelers handle this abundance of draft picks,
I can't foresee using even 6 picks on this draft.

I think they will use 8-9 picks.

I am still hoping to see them draft a starting Guard or Tackle in the 1st round, so I am hoping they don't trade down or back into 2027.

Ioane is showing up more and more going in our range
Initially it looked like he was way out of reach
    now not so much
same with Kayden McDonald for the other side of the ball
Either one to me is a win

I also see Fant popping up every once in a while on a mock draft.

I know he is dropping because of his combine Arm measurement, but a starting Guard/Tackle could be the best of both worlds for the Steelers and then they can let Jones, Cook, Anderson, and Hoffman battle it out for the remaining starting position.

I remember when I wanted the Steelers to go after Peter Skoronski in 2023 for the starting Tackle position instead of Broderick Jones. Everyone said he would be an NFL guard because of his short arms, I thought he would be just fine at Tackle. Titans moved him to Guard and now have one of the best guards in the game.

2025 Performance: In his third NFL season, Skoronski established himself as a dominant force at guard, allowing only two sacks and ranking second among guards with an 84.5 PFF pass-blocking grade

There are around 12 QB's that could go in the first 2 rounds.
    Arch Manning - Texas
    Dante Moore - Oregon
    Julian Sayin - Ohio State
    CJ Carr - Notre Dame
    Lanorris Sellers - South Carolina
    Drew Mestemaker - Oklahoma State
    Sam Leavitt - LSU
    DJ Lagway - Baylor
    Brendan Sorsby - Texas Tech
    Darian Mensah - Miami
    Josh Hoover - Indiana
    Jayden Maiava - USC

Some of those guys will probably go back to school in 2027 if they don't get a first round grade.

Yeah, lots of good names there. To me, I see 3 guys that are pretty destined to be top 10 picks in Manning, Moore, and Sayin. Carr and Leavitt seem like potentials to be that high, but are safe first rounders. Sellers will have someone buy on his talents. Early second at latest, but a big year gets him into the first maybe. Sorsby is the biggest mover IMO. Going to TTU is huge for him, and if he can have a huge year he could see himself be a first rounder too. Mensah in a similar situation in Miami. Maiava will have a chance to prove himself too. I could easily see him be a second round pick.

I don't know much on Mestemaker, I am a bit low on Lagway (but he has excellent tools, a huge year could get him into the second round maybe). Not really sold on Hoover. Feels like his ceiling is day 2 if he plays well.

Exact same thing people were saying last year about this year. Ya never know.

Hence why I reserve judgement until after the season. Hyping up these QBs where some of them may not even declare is the classic case of an exercise in futility. Let the season play out then decide.

The big difference is a lot of them next year will have used up their eligibility and have to turn pro.
