ok pirates signed Konnor Griffon to a monster deal..ok ok ok BUT didnt they sign Kebryan Hayes to a big deal and what did he do...Oh I hope this signing is worth it...

It's a little early to write guys off.

 

Based on the lineups the last few days, looks like Kelly may be doing just that. It's different for Griffin who is on his upward trajectory (hopefully) but Ozuna has been around a long time and really needs to justify that $12M. Bart, who I really liked his first year with the Bucs, is also suspect these days not only with the bat but as catcher. Didn't watch last game but they were stealing left and right against him (and the pitchers). Davis is pretty good as the backstop and his hitting is getting somewhat better this year. There seems to be enough talent in the lineup this year that even if 1 or 2 have an off day or week, the others can put together a good showing.

 

Great strategy today (so far) by Bucs being patient with Cubs SP Imanaga who was pulling a Skenes with his pitch count but mowing down the Bucs with 9 K's and kept them hitless through 6 innings but with 100 pitches. The second he was out of there O'Hearn and Reynolds quickly made it 2-0 with a Reynolds HR. Hope the Bucs relievers can hold them 2 more innings.

 

Did you see the strange challenge from Gonzales? He decided screw it but ump said no and reviewed it and it was a ball. He just missed a HR after it.
