Who is your round 1 unicorn? The one you want to fall to 21. Or to fall far enough for the Steelers to be able to trade a third (our #1 and first #3 will get us to TB #15.

I'm hoping for Ioane. I think because of the strength of the round 2 guards he will fall further than people think, and we may be able to get him at 21. The only sticking point is that the Chargers, who are desperate for interior 0-line, may trade in front of us if we wait for 21.

    The Ravens will grab Ioane.

I suppose my choice at the moment is Mendoza.

I was doing a mock yesterday and incredibly both Sonny Styles and Vega Ioane were available at #21. I took Styles because he will be a perennial All Pro at ILB although of course in the real draft he will go in the top 10 picks.

A couple years ago I found a study about bust rate by position. Outside of quarterback, defensive backs and linebackers had the highest rate of failure. With offensive line being essentially the safest pick. Interestingly enough there was no real significance in drafting cornerback in the 4th-7th rounds. The success rate was below 10%. It’s was based on analysis of nfl drafts over 25 years. So a decent sample size

The answer, besides Mendoza, has to be Sonny Styles. (our #1 and first #3 will get us to TB #15.

After drafting styles, the Steelers could immediately address Patrick Queens $17 million cap hit. (Khan could start working the phones and try to get back the 3rd he just gave up to move up to #15)

Any of the top Buckeyes would be great. Styles, Downs, or Tate would be my favorites, but all for different reasons.

I'd take Styles over Ioane if he's still on the board at #21, but he'll be long gone by then. I doubt if even Ioane will still be available, but if he is, you take him.

Procter or Ioane would both be great picks.
