And only slow people actually believed them. Nobody wins 10 games a year if everyone knows what they are doing all day. You don't have to be a genius to know this. I guess if you never played any sports in your life you may actually believe this.

No what make no sense is You are mad at Tomlin for losing a playoff game, but not Cowher for not even winning enough games to make the playoffs.
Hell why am I arguing with you, You did even watch Cowher coach except for the Ben years. So 3 whole years. What the heck do You know about it.

Notice how most people always claim the coaching was "bad" but only a small few of those can actually identify what was "bad" about it. Weird. What could that mean...

For those that can list chapter and verse what was broken and flawed in the defensive approach....I see you and recognize your contributions. This is not aimed at you.

Khan and Mike McCarthy have never 'drafted' a QB together, so we shall see. I agree drafting QB's is a crap shoot, but you keep drafting QB's every year until your find one. They can become tradeable assets you can flip. My point is to get a serviceable QB that doesn't crush the cap and put all the resources into the rest of the team, especially the trenches.

Seattle and Philadelphia won their Superbowl's mainly with pass rush, good run game, serviceable QB play. That is a realistic model that Steelers could follow because the chances aren't great they find a Mahomes or Brady.

That is awesome. Dallas Cowboy fans would rather have Yoda than Jerry Jones as their General Manager. Jerrah didn't do squat in the offseason (except go on vacation) and made no moves to upgrade that defense, and wasted his cap space by tagging Pickens. Their defensive drafts have been pretty lackluster and free agent signings are bargain bin discounts.

They could be the worst team in the AFC NFC East next season.

Cowboys are in the NFC East. Patriots and Bills would love for Cowboys to be in their division. That would be two easy wins....like Jets and Dolphins are now. :lolol:

I watched Cowher coached Steelers from the beginning, in the year of our Lord...1992. Like I've said a million times already....hind sight is 20/20 and Cowher was a far superior coach compared to Tomlin. Even with the horrific loss to Chargers in AFCCG of '94 season.

Tomlin had his warts just like any other HC. But it's equally ridiculous to say he sucked as a HC. He didn't.

Different era, different environment. Whole lot of rule changes that basically neutered 'Steelers football' and favored Offense. No social media, no NIL, no disgruntled players forcing their way off teams. Cowher only had to face Brady once in the playoffs, and lost. Cowher had 3 seasons finishing <8 wins.

Cowher coaching today would have very similar teams to Tomlin's.

Cowher faced Brady twice in the playoffs (2001 and 2004), which is more than Tomlin in his career(2016).It was also in the peak of the spygate era for the Pats

We don't know how Cowher would have fared in another era, but what matters is what he has done in his era when he was head coach

Sorry. Typo. They are NFC East.

I think Harbaugh will make the Giants better, the Commanders will be okay if Jayden is healthy, and the Eagles will be the class of the division again on talent.

    Was I quoting you??
I was quoting a guy admitted he didn't watch any Cowher except after Ben was here, and yet somehow he's an expert in what Cowher did. LoL.
I still laugh at people saying it's OK to lose, and not make the playoffs, but it's bad to win, and make the playoffs, but lose in the playoffs. Male that make sense. I can tell many of You never played organize sports with a team. Nobody ever that has ,would rather have a losing season than make the playoffs even it You lose in the playoffs.

If You actually watched football in 2001, You would know Brady didn't even play the whole 1st half of that game.

I'd rather Steelers go 6-11... get a good top 10 draft pick the following year, than go 10-7... squeak into the playoffs, get wiped out... then draft in the early to mid 20's after all good blue-chip picks are gone. So yeah... I'd rather lose at 6-11 with the hope of improving the team with a blue chip caliber player.... than earn a playoff spot with 10 wins and not even compete... while drafting mediocre players like Jones, Fautanu, Pickett, Harris, etc.

So yeah... I'm all aboard the losing train. :rawk:

Give me another Roethlisberger. Give me another Woodson. Give me another Searcy, Kirkland, etc. Hell yeah.

The Patriots' offense also did nothing while Brady was in that game. The worst thing the Steelers' defense did that day may have been knocking Brady out of it. Bledsoe led them to their only offensive touchdown.

I watched that football game in 2001 and it was Special Teams errors that killed Steelers.

Yeah like I said nobody that is actually playing wants that. Yeah because we drafted a Roethlisberger every time we had a losing season. LoL. You said You watch a lot of Steelers football, did You forget??
We drafted players that sucked when we had losing seasons also. Your memory is not very good, and we have drafted great players when we had winning seasons. There is no , you only draft good players when you lose. LoL. Why are you trying to pass this bull.

Steelers win that game without the Special Teams mishaps/penalties.

I remember Brady getting injured...it's also true that the Patriots had two special team touchdowns and it was a killer...I remember Porter's drop pick 6 against Bledsoe later in that game...I remember Kordell's two interceptions late in the game...and it's also true that Brady started the game and played well.

All of this is 25 years later and I've never watched that game again because it's still too painful to watch, like every other playoff loss by the Steelers in any era.

This is about the odds....Last time McCarthy had a losing season and he was still with the same team the year after, the cowboys had drafted Parsons
