D+ because of all the draft busts since 2013 and overrated, overpaid defense. Offense being inconsistent is no big surprise.

16 teams have made it to the playoffs at over a 40% clip in the last 20 years. It's the same half of the teams making it most years. The Steelers are tied for 3rd in percentage rate with 4 other teams at 65%. They aren't special. Yes, they've been to the SB twice in that time but 11 other teams have also made it at least twice. Six teams have made it 3 or more times.

Sounds right to me. Honestly, I wouldn't put any money on the Steelers to win anything. They've handled this transition pretty terribly imo. Totally uninspired, safe, 9-8 choices.

they MAY NOT BE overrated with PROPER COACHING. we will see this year

Tomlin sucked - he was OLD and STALE in his ways on D.

    it showed for YEARS

Hell - opposing teams told us each year they knew what we were doing all day long on D.

Agree. It was time to move on, Tomlin's regime was stale and wearisome like Emperor Tiberius of the Roman Empire.

I don't expect the Steelers to be Superbowl contenders in 26, but they can contend for the division, given the other teams are also flawed.

This team needs to get their future QB in 27, finish the reload in the trenches, secondary, receiving corps, and ride that rookie contract to contend in 28 and 29.

That is the key, that rookie QB contract. Teams with highly paid QB's aren't exactly lighting it up in the post-season. The Cowboys are pretenders with that Dak Prescott contract. Jalen Hurts' days maybe numbered in Philadelphia, they have already dumped a Superbowl winning QB because he wasn't good enough. The Bills and Ravens window is rapidly closing with their expensive QB's. Even the Chiefs are struggling due to cap woes and Mahones will be injured.

We need a top notch defensive line, pass rush, and QB on a rookie contract. McCarthy can get the most out of the offense.

The Key to what? When was the last time a QB on his rookie contract won the Superbowl?

This decade? the previous decade? Mahomes signed his extension in 2020 with the Chiefs, so maybe him?

All I see from this list are a bunch of veteran QBs winning the Superbowl.

You need higher standard at this point....I mean, the last 96 games by the steelers is so average, this is not even funny

I mean even the pirates have better odds right now,if you are happy about being just above .500,good for you,but this is boring at this point

Mediocrity will eventually hit merchandise sales. We aren't the Browns yet, but could be if things do not turn around soon.

    It won’t matter

As one team sales go down others go up

All profits are shared equally by all 32 teams

And the Steelers were third in jersey sales last year based on an NFL link

D+ sounds like a team that had a losing record and is drafting at the top of the draft. The Steelers going just above .500 and making the playoffs sounds like a C+/B- team.

Those odds mean nothing we all know the Pirates will fade as the season goes on, they stayed competitive which is what Art wants without a franchise QB the last 5-6 years.
