Should the Steelers be looking trade some picks in 2026 with an eye towards 2027?

If they can find a trading partner by trading down in the first or second round, or they could trade away one of their three third round picks for draft capital in 2027.

Should be interesting to see how the Steelers handle this abundance of draft picks,
I can't foresee using even 6 picks on this draft.

I think they will use 8-9 picks.

I am still hoping to see them draft a starting Guard or Tackle in the 1st round, so I am hoping they don't trade down or back into 2027.

Ioane is showing up more and more going in our range
Initially it looked like he was way out of reach
    now not so much
same with Kayden McDonald for the other side of the ball
Either one to me is a win

I also see Fant popping up every once in a while on a mock draft.

I know he is dropping because of his combine Arm measurement, but a starting Guard/Tackle could be the best of both worlds for the Steelers and then they can let Jones, Cook, Anderson, and Hoffman battle it out for the remaining starting position.

I remember when I wanted the Steelers to go after Peter Skoronski in 2023 for the starting Tackle position instead of Broderick Jones. Everyone said he would be an NFL guard because of his short arms, I thought he would be just fine at Tackle. Titans moved him to Guard and now have one of the best guards in the game.

2025 Performance: In his third NFL season, Skoronski established himself as a dominant force at guard, allowing only two sacks and ranking second among guards with an 84.5 PFF pass-blocking grade
